  1. @Sanford - based on what I see you already checked off cancel auto-renewal, which is why you are seeing the "restore your subscription" and your current expiration is 9/5/19...I agree it could certainly be more clear so as not to confuse.
  2. OK I will dive into this with Tech Support as to why you don't see what I see. Regarding storing CC information....we don't store any credit card information whatsoever - we store encrypted tokens...which means all we have on file is something only Stripe can decode using the decryption technology. Security at Stripe "Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. To accomplish this, we make use of best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security at Stripe." I hope that helps at least answer that question. More on why you don't see "cancel" ASAP. Tokenization explained:
  3. Hi Sanford, I will direct message you but you should see this in the My Account area when logged in:
  4. At no point did I say that free members would no longer have a home here. All that was intended by the phrase "pure play" was in the context of our current reliance on advertising to fund the site and given the upward trend of ad blocking, focus on reducing (ideally eliminating) advertising on the site by building something people would be willing to pay for via a subscription. All sites that were built primarily on ad supported model are dealing with this issue....its by no means unique to us. But again, free members will always be welcome here.
  5. OK, so the work around I'm doing in admin panel appears to be working as your photos are appearing in that gallery as I do this...however tech support is aware of this and will address site wide ASAP.
  6. Tech support is looking into why photos are in private status even though they appear to be in public status when you are looking in your dashboard. Seems to be a common thread - we're investigating but I will do a work around in my admin panel to see if we can get the photos public.
  7. We will look into this for you now.
  8. There will always be free members on photo.net that can use all aspects of the site.... all I was saying is the site will need to evolve away from ad supported model (people are ad blocking at a high rate) as a publisher in the photography community space (no one likes to see ads next to their photography) to survive and thrive long term we'll need to provide services people are willing to pay for and can use. Things like bringing more Online Photography Classes, Private Client Galleries, Discounts from partners like Agree.com, Photologo.co and more coming. Free users will always have a home here - I don't like using the grey ad blocker thing but it can be closed out, we have to ask otherwise people won't whitelist us.
  9. Ben it just means less focus on ad focused model and by way of doing that building features users value and would be willing to pay for. If 50% of our users are blocking ads and that trend is increasing, what is the point of focusing there? Those that use the gallery side of the site, generally speaking I don't think they like seeing ads next to their photography....not to mention many many headwinds in online advertising space resulting in overall decline of CPM (cost per thousand ads served and viewed). Additional explanation here: OK P/N, you won this round.
  10. Hello - I will have these requests looked into @george I do see your photos in our admin panel and I do see them listed as "public" and your new account has been approved, so will need to dig deeper. @foureyes - your portfolio is a little larger, but could be the same issue. Will have answers soon. Thank you for your patience.
  11. Sanford - looks like your subscription expired on 8/28 and your blocking ads so you would get a notice like that - which you can close out if you so choose. We don't require you to whitelist us but we do ask. More and more publishers are doing this to users that block ads as practice. Thousands of major sites are taking silent anti-ad-blocking measures and 6 Steps Publishers Can Take to Fight Ad Blockers are just a couple of articles that show you we're not alone in this. Our end goal would be to evolve into a pure subscription play so none of us have to deal with ads, but for now they are necessary to fund the site.
  12. Hello, yes all new accounts are held in private status until approved by a moderator as our confirmation emails states. This step is necessary to defend against spam. Your account was approved this afternoon so everything you want to public is now public
  13. haha, when I first saw this - I thought this thread might need a NSFW filter on it...glad to hear your good to go!
  14. There is nothing to cancel because you were never a subscriber.
  15. remember you can always "report" an image you feel as though moderators should take a closer look at. The message is being updated from only spam to also cover properly categorized photo situations as well. All this "report" button does is puts it into a queue for moderators to take a closer look at...if it is a spam issue of course it will be deleted immediately, if a NSFW photo not properly categorized that will be addressed as well. "report" button is below the photo on what we call internally here as "the photo detail page". see below
