Cosmin, Very nicely done. I like the closeness of the composition allowing us to focus on the intense look in her eyes. The B/W conversion provides a nice contrast of the dark hair and the lighter skin tones. As was previously mentioned the wet hair on the shoulder is a nice touch are the water droplets on her face.

El, this is really great, nicely observed and executed, with the repetition of claws from foreground to background reaching for the sky.
-
Holger, the exposure seems correct to me. I like the way the white and brown of the head work against the muted sky. The vignetting seems to be a personal preference, and I go through phases when I use it in my own work, it seems to work well here and particularly enhances the white of the head.

Holger, I agree the b/w tones in this are very nice. I quite like the amount of space around them, though I might try a bit of burning on the two light elements in the background right behind the girls. It's a nice summer day scene.

ALf, the blur effect certainly gives this a sense of movement which I quite like. The nice range of tones might also make this look really lovely in black and white.

Alf, it's interesting to see these side by side and see the very different moods they evoke. This one with the cool tint gives a solemn sense of isolation, whereas the color version with the yellows and greens of the background has a very joyful feeling.

Pnina, I like that I'm not sure what's going on, where the figure stops and the clothing takes over or vice versa. I am certainly intrigued by the details around the figure—the two or three faces/masks, the stuffed animal at the waist, and the various parts that are dragging the ground. I particularly like the way the two white masks/faces are thrust into the darkness at the upper right, and the curve of the blue cloth against the light at the lower left.

Ricardo, The way the edges of the road spill over into the landscape, the way the shadows appear layered throughout, and the wonderfully subtle color palette all give this an ethereal quality that I quite like.

Pnina, Both of these are really well done. I particularly like the way you handled the light (very differently) in each. The limited color palette in this one works nicely as does the handling of the gradation of dark to light allowing enough detail of the mostly silhouetted figure to show through. The coat hanger certainly adds an intriguing touch, along with the faint pile of clothes in the background.

Alf, I think the white of the sky and it's reflection in the water are exactly has right feel for the time of day looking toward the light. I quite like the foreground with the dark reeds against the white of the water, it adds a certain sharpness and contrast to the to softer more subdued trees and building of the landscape. The nice range of tones and limited color palette add a lot to the atmosphere and help convey the time of day.

Gordon, the color is really wonderful. I like the movement of the legs and the way her skirt and face seem to be morphing into the graffiti on the wall

Pnina, the tape lines on the stage, the wood lines of the flats, the stone wall and metal door all provide a nice atmosphere for the rustic costumes. It feels Brechtian to me. The figure in the background and the rope certainly provides a nice tension and contrast to the figures in the foreground. The neutral color palette enhances the mood nicely.

Alf, The long exposure works well here. I like the way the sea and the sky merge, almost echoing each other. The texture of the rocks provides a good contrast to the softer tones of the sky and water. The soft light and slight bluish cast enhances the mood nicely.

Pnina, i like the juxtaposition of the two figures. I assume the woman is a photograph behind the man? The costumes of the series give a nice sense of the tone and stylization of the piece.
-
Sid, it has the feel of a zoot suit, and when combined with the bowler, it has a period feel to it, though the cell phone breaks that illusion. The B/W certainly enhances the mood in this.
-
Gail, this would be wonderful even without the bee. Really wonderful detail and DOF. I particularly like the delicate veining in the petals. I've never had much luck with bee shots as they always tend to lack the sharpness needed.
-
Ruud, nicely composed with the crossing of the planks the two men are carrying adding a nice focal point. There is a nice variety of textures and tones.
-
Andrea, I really like the starkness of the contrasts. It's interesting that the contrast seems to be greater in the mirrored reflection, particularly noticeable on the shadows of the columns. The perspective works nicely, with the panes of the mirror almost acting as the center line. While I think it would still be incredibly interesting without the figures, they add a nice touch, particularly the way they are silhouetted against the white wall.

Pnina, in addition to the wonderful light on her arms and chest, I really like the rich warmth of the sepia tones. When combined with the down-turned head and the fore arms resting on the cushion, it has a very spiritual and emotional impact.
