Gunnar, this appears as though it is sculpted from glass or ice and lit from within, giving it a very fragile quality. The delicate lines seemingly etched into the surface heighten the fragility of it. The dark angular railings cutting through the image provide a nice tension and seem almost a threat. It's quite beautiful.

Alf, you mentioned that this is a little more saturated than you would like, and I would agree that the yellow/green of the tree trunks and the foreground branches may be a bit too vibrant, though I think the lavender color of the walkway is really lovely. The canopy to me does seem busy, but not in a bad way. You can see a definite clearly defined structure to it in the foreground and the way the light strikes the main branches works really well, while the background of the canopy is more subdued. I really like the soft arching pattern of the shadows on the walkway, providing a nice contrast to the more angular branches of the canopy,

Pnina, both of these are nicely done. The body language in the original post very much tells the story. The coy expression in the 2nd post gives us insight into the character. I really like the colors in the set and her costume.
-
Pnina, her expressive face and hands stand out very nicely against the tones of the floor and costume. The various detail of the texture on her costume is nicely rendered. It's beautiful.

Ruud, the color on this is outstanding.

Ruud, this is a very sweet image, the way the man looks at the dog. The two seem to look quite a bit alike.

Nicely done Harry. The light of the wheel has a nice effect along with the various spotlights on the left side. The stars on the right side are a nice touch. The deep blue/violet color of the water and the sky provide a nice backdrop for the citylights and the reflections on the water.

Mike, I like this very much. The "happy" shark is very funny. I find the poor toddler tied into the stroller more amusing, particularly with the hat on the right draped over it's handle seeming like a menacing alien with it's gaping mouth ready to attack. The shape of the shark's mouth repeated several times in this also is a nice touch

Tarek, I like the contrast of the dark grid against the light background and the way one of the panels is open. The profile particularly of the child works very well to convey the bond between her and the mother.
-
Alf, She looks like a wonderful companion, and treats always get their undivided attention. I like the way the light falls off from the neck, though this is probably due to the change of color in the coat. The trace of light behind her is effective in reducing what could have been a stark black background. The highlight in the eye and on the nose and mouth is nicely done.

Gordon, the gradation of color from background to foreground is really beautiful. The orange and white of the fish stand out nicely from their surroundings. The circular framing of the foreground is very pleasing.
-
Pnina, the light and tones in this are really beautiful. The soft light on the structure behind the orchestra, the clarity of the musicians and the light on the conductor all are really wonderful
-
Bill, excellent use of light against the dark background. Nicely detailed especially in the translucent green of the pod.

Bill, I agree with the others that the high contrast in this works nicely. There is just enough detail on the dark side of the face to complete the portrait.
-
Anabela, I like the way you handled this very much. The soft drapery-like effect surrounding them and their sharply focused faces emerging out it works very well.
-
Hamid, the handling of the light is wonderful. I like the line of water running between the buildings and the way the light reflects on it. The light on your daughter is perfectly done.
-
Grigoriy, I really like the graphic nature of this. The repetition of the clock face is nicely done. The reflective quality of the light along with the limited color palette adds an element of excitement.
-
Svetlana, I like the triangular arrangement of the woman and the two sculptures. Also as previously mentioned the echo of the background window and the silhouetted window on the wall works very well. The warmth of the brown tones of the figure works very well.
-
Andrea, I really like the theatricality of their pose and costume, and certainly the pointed angle of the foot. The child with the sunglasses seems to be enjoying the show also, and his expression is just as vital as the performers.

El, there is an nice intimacy between her and the figure in the paper, as though the man in the paper is staring back at her.

El, I really like the variety of texture in the various blocks of stone and the overall effect that it creates, especially in combination with the circular movement. The dark figures provide a nice contrast.
