Thanks Radu, and John for your the explanation . Your description of simplicity and form is in line with what I sought and glad you pinpointed these words.

Thanks again for your comments John!! Well in this image my idea was to draw the viewer's attention purely to the eyes. It was all I was interested in and what I wished to project. I don't see any abstract elements as I left everything conforming to reality. Best regards . . John

Thank you very much for your contributions John and Hen. Now to some expanations about the colour of the legs, You are right Hen the colour of the legs is darker than the rest of the body. When I took this shot (on a summer evening), the sun was on the right very low giving very warm light on the model. I had to fill in with artificial light to fill the shadows and used a silver reflector from the left of the model and an on camera fill in flash from front. Since I wanted the attention mostly on the models face, I mainly directed the reflector on her upper body, leaving the legs less lit. I feel it is better this way, but a personal opinion. Warmest regards to both...John.

Thanks for your constructive comment Daniele. In this shoot I wished to get the ambient of a fishing village. In my opinion the blur is enough to concentration the attention on the model, whereas still including background elements. Conversion to BW would render distraction more, as I would loose the red dress, which focuses an immediate attention. I could have altered some background colours but decided to refrain from doing so. Best regards.
