Gail: In macro shots I use a crop sensor camera (Canon 550d) for a longer reach than if I had to use my full frame. The lens I use is the Canon 100mm f2.8L IS. For this particular shot I closed down to f16 for sufficient DOF and 1/200sec. ISO 100.  Buy using these settings and the use of a flash fitted with a mini softbox, I reduce camera shake and get sharper images. I adjust the power of the flash manually so as to get a good exposure.

Hi Radu. In this shot I used a crop sensor camera fitted with 100m macro lens. I used on camera flash on which I attached a mini softbox. Exposure was manual at f16, 1/200 sec and ISO 100.

Excellent !! Beautiful light and colours.

Thank you for your comment. Since flash is not allowed during boxing bouts, only available light was used. These are the technical details. Canon 6d with 24 - 70mm lens at 25mm.  Shot at f2.8, 1/800sec, ISO2000.
