I used two channel layers Red and Blue to convert to monochrome. Further enhancements were made with another layer  set to overlay and using vivid brush.

Hi Gail. I don't always use the same method but in this case I selected camera neutral in the RAW editing. After opening in photoshop I selectively adjusted the red colour with hue saturation and adjusted the darkness to my taste.
