yes these are tray developed, i suppose i need to use an 11x14 tray instead of an 8x10 one, im sure that is the issue. the camera used here is the beastly cambo legend, weighs in at about 27 pounds. it gets heavy very quickly after a few minutes of walking, they are great cameras though, funny thing about these cameras is that brand new they sell for a few thousand dollars, i tried to sell this one last year for 300, no one even looked at it lol. i paid like 500 for it a few years ago, it is without a doubt a studio camera, not to be moved very often. but when taking it out in the field, if you get it balanced right, i swear it doesnt feel an ounce over 25 1/2 pounds. : )

thanks for the nice comments, the uneven dev in the snow picture is hardly noticeable in the print. i ordered some of the lodima silver chloride paper, supposably its the azo replacement, i read good reviews on it, looking forward to trying it out.

hi tony, wanted to wish you good luck on your new adventure, there is a major learning curve here, so just keep at it and dont give up, ive been shooting LF for about 5 years and love it, a few times i wondered what i had gotten myself into : )) but the big negative is worth it. I recently purchased the shen hao ptb, weighs in at just under 3 pounds, shen hao makes a great camera, very sturdy. you will find lots of useful information on here and the large format forum. again good luck and post some images you make.

hope everyone here had a merry christmas, we were imobilized here in north georgia, no christmas dinners or anything, no one could get out. lol. its still snowing here this morning, 11 inches so far, that probably dont sound like much for you folks up north but down here, there is no preperation at all, so you are just kind of stuck where you happen to be, hope everyone has a safe and happy new year.
