1.
while i was down at the falls it started raining, it was a 2 mile hike back to the car, so i stood under this tree trying not to get wet until the rain passed over, as i was standing there i looked back and saw this part of the trail, thought it was kind of cool looking, this was shot 81 seconds @ f32

00ZWiB-410203584.thumb.jpg.9e4209574efe29356f818502f087fef1.jpg

 2.
i have never had any issues with any them, i do like b&h because many times they will ship out same day, i live about 2 hours north of atlanta (where keh is located) and many times if i order something from keh and b&h on the same say, they usually will arrive on the same day even though B&h is in new york, i think all 3 are great companies, but i really like keh's customer service.

 3.
cliff that sounds like a pretty cool idea,i have another b&L RR that is razor sharp then fades off, its pretty cool too but i really like this one alot, it is made my b&L but sold under the name Andrew J Lloyd of Boston. i think its from around 1891 but not really sure, it has both a front and rear element, Jim told me that he has a couple of lenses that give that exact look and they are wide angle lenses on an 8x10, maybe back in the day they were used for group portraits or something. i shot a couple more tonite of my niece, i have already dev. them im just waiting for them to dry.

 4.
no it has both elements, it is in a shutter but does not work, i contacted jim galli over at LFF who in my opinion is the brass lens master and he told me that those lenses will not even begin getting sharp till about f16, this particular one has no aperature scale, so its kind of stuck wide open, i have another b&l that is tack sharp in the center. it would be kind of nice to be able to stop it down a bit for focussing though, its a pain to focus especially with a low contrast scene, but im really enjoying the look, doing a portrait with it today. thanks for the nice comments

 5.
hey guys thanks for the nice responses, im planning on doing a portrait session with it tomorrow, it is a really neat lens, the guy i bought it had never used it so he decided to sale it, i didnt really know what i was getting, it was manufactured by B&L and sold under the name Andrew J Lloyd of Boston, the fellow bought it for his 8x10, i actually have it mouted on my 5x7 and used my 4x5 back to test with. will post some more
