Fine composition. The carpet of bright seaweed gives it nice colour.

It is not often a fine landscape is enhanced by modern machinery, but the steam train blends in seamlessly. It gives unusual added interest to this nicely captured scene.

Beautiful image. For me, what gives particular unity to the photo is the superposition of convex and concave arcs in the composition, formed by the shape of the deadwood, the curve of the forest and the dome of the mountain.

I recognise this one: Lough Tay in the Wicklow Mountains, Ireland. The photo captures some of the beauty of the place, but I think the large swathes of darkness also cloak a little too much of that beauty.

There is great texture in this image, both of cloth and hands. The composition is eloquent in its simplicity.

Coglie bene l'atmosfera di questa scena.

There is beautiful harmony of colour and of line in this image. The cloud formation, too, is perfect. It all makes for a very pleasing composition.

C'est une belle prise originale, Pierre. Je souhaiterais juste un peu plus de nettete dans toute l'image.

It would be a fine composition even without the gull. The grey tone, too, creates an attractive atmosphere.

Simple yet pleasing composition. The sunshine and shafts of light give it particular attractiveness.

One can see, indeed, the concentration of the man's mind in his eyes. It is a fine portrait that keeps its spontaneity.

Beautiful interplay of colours and of light and shadow.

This is a nice study in shades of brown. It has a very pleasing unity.

This is a beautiful landscape, with a nice contrast between the warm rock in the foreground and the colder blues of sky and mountain. The HDR effect is definitely on the 'painterly' side.

The golden light and exploding wave really make this photo. The shutter speed, too, was just perfect to cream the waves without losing the breaker.

There is very much to like in this shot. The lighter, warmer colours on the frozen water stand in nice contrast to the darker, sterner rock of the mountain. It's a pity, as you say, that the lower flank of the mountain and middle ground are lying in shadow, but it's still a fine photo.

Beautiful detail. Placing the action centre stage makes it all the more dramatic. This salmon had no chance!
