  1. Hello all - From memory posting threads about manual lenses but shot on a mirrorless body is borderline acceptable in this forum. However I recall a spirited debate where it was agreed this was allowed since there are more enthusiastic hobbyists in this forum. Hopefully that still stands - it's been a few years since I last posted. Well here goes. Some of you may remember me from a few years ago when, pre-kids, dogs and mortgages I used to post on a semi-regular basis. Firmly a hobbyist, but I've gained a lot from many of the members on this forum (Lou Meluso, Rick Drawbridge to name a couple). A few years ago, after shooting with a Konica Auto S2, I became enamored of Konica glass. I recently dusted off a nice Hexanon AR 40 1.8 lens and mounted it on my Fuji X-H1. Results are below. If any of you are interested in this lens, I refer you to the excellent resource at buhle.de. My impressions of the lens - its a very handy lens to mount on an APS-C camera. Small, not too heavy, and capable of sharp imagines. It seems to have a tendency to flare a little, and the bokeh is a bit busy. But a very nice walkaround lens. These images were shot in Larchmont Manor Beach Park. Critiques and comments are welcomed. Kayam
  2. If anyone is still reading this thread, the solution is that the Canon FL 58 1.2 is somewhat unique in its design. You can use any FD - Fuji X adapter, but there is a pin that needs to be removed. Details are available here:

  6. Hello everyone. Some of you may remember me from when I used to post here years ago. Sadly life kept me away from photography for a bit (kids...the ruin your lives :-)) but a recent bout of GAS resulting in a new mirrorless body has sparked my interest again. My question is I have a Canon FL 55 1.2 that I'd like to try out. I have the Fotasy FD-FX mount adapter, which works well for my breech and bayonet mount FD lenses but doesn't have sufficient clearance to mount my breechlock FL lens. It's a lovely lens (radioactive!) and I'd love to experiment with it over the holidays. Does anyone have a recommendation for an adapter that will work? Happy shooting, Kayam
