This is very beautiful.

I think it's kind of cool, even if unintentional.

Cool idea, and nice exposure under the circumstances. With 20/20 hindsight, I might have shifted the composition slightly leftward, however, in order to eliminate the black emptiness at the right side of the frame and to move the torch-bearer slightly off center.
Generally an interesting photo, though. Congratulations.

Beauty.
I can't quite make out the Knights who say NEE.

Bravo!
I love these sorts of places. Searching for ancient treasures.

I love this. This is a scream!
Clever and amusing.

Interesting capture.
My guess: He's visualizing himself lifting the tanker over his head. Or perhaps this is an unorthodox form of industrial Tai Chi.

I might have captioned this "deciduous carnivore".

I'm wondering what YOU see in these images, Lee. Could you share your thoughts please?

Nice work for a first effort! Dramatic skies. Looks like sun beams breaking through the clouds in the background.
I love Lac Leman. Have you how Albert Philippon photographs Geneve and the lake region? Magnificent!

Interesting angle: I like the perspective here. I wish there was enough DOF, though, so that all the hardware was sharp.

Beautiful image.
What's a "hoodoo"?

It looks bigger on TV.

I love the perspective, as well as the richness of the colors and the textured surface. Keeps this from being just another lighthouse shot.
Heck, I even like the flare (kind of balances the tower and forms a V in the upper part of the image).
Very nice.

Ok Now I get it. It's a multiple choice test.

Hi Chris,
I think the composition could be strengthened by eliminating some of the empty space to the left of the cat's head, moving the head more off-center. I also find the blade of grass in front of the cat's nose somewhat distracting.
Here's a link to a very well-done cat photo somebody else posted on another photo site. I especially like the way the photographer has used the foliage to frame the cat; and the sharpness of focus on the cat's face, which provides a crystal clear view of the eyes and nose and an almost tactile impression of the fur.

Oh Please, a turtle catching air while belly-surfing in the snow only rates a six something for orignality???
Only on photonet.
Very clever and amusing image, Nicholas.

Very interesting, Brad. I'll be thinking anout this one for a while.

I like the symbolism of the sunlight coming in from the window on the left and illuminating part of the wall on the right, but entirely missing the crouching figure in the center. Benighted in the dungeon.

Vertiginous perspective. If I look at this very long I feel like I'm gonna lose my cookies on those poor little people way, way down there. Do they note that kind of thing on your visa as you leave?
Nice image. Unmistakable girder patterns, so this could only be one thing; but definitely not the postcard cliche. Then there's the visceral effect of the perspective. Think I'll lie down now.

Inside the alien ship...

The lighting and the angle give this one a very spooky feel. (Do I hear "tubular bells" playing in the background?)
How did you light this?

I imagine that's that hi-tech accoustical duct tape we've been hearing so much about.
Interesting shot.

A couple of suggestions from a rank amateur: (a) composition - I might move the waterfall further off-center, closer to one of the "thirds", or try a vertical frame; (b) a longer exposure (tripod mounted) to create that lovely ethereal look to the water flow.

Potala Palace

I like the dramatic cloud looming over the equally dramtic palace, but I wish the image were a bit sharper. Also I wonder if the drama might be accentuated by a closer crop (eliminating, say, the top right 1/6 or so).
