thanks Gary. I do appreciate the advice. i don't have any "equipment" other than my camera and lens so far, so i'll have to check into getting a fill flash. someone had commented on my other shot like this, giving the same advice. so i guess i should read up on what type of equipment is what, since i'm still in the "dark" about it!!!!

Thanks Michael for stopping by. I'll keep your suggestion in mind for future use. I still need lots of training on using the camera itself, much less exterior add on parts!!!! Have a good day.

this shot is very good. both good looking models, great lighting, great atmosphere. the only tiny little gripe i have is her lips. they look a little dry. she needed to have a bit of lip gloss on.

i like the cropped one too, so that the forehead doesn't take away from her eyes so much. i can only imagine what she's thinking. lol.

Well, I almost stepped on this snake while walking in the woods, but not because he was blending in with the leaves. It was because he was only about 5 inches long! It's a shame I didn't think at the time to use a larger DOF. I'm such a newb. But I was excited to find him so I was just trying to get a few shots in before he slithered away.

poor thing. it reminds me of my lambie that i lost for a year when i was little. evidently i was playing "hide and seek" with him and hid him too good! i found him a year later with a half an ear missing from where a rat had chewed him.
