August 14th outside of Saranac Lake New York in the Adirondacks. I

was a participant in the Barkeater Workshop with Aaron Hobson.

There is a lot of red in the background I find distracting especially in the left lower corner.

Playing around on the front porch one day experimenting with the deer

skull and light when along comes a butterfly....

I like the colors and the motion. For me, the most important thing lacking is the focus and and sharpness of the head and eye. Birds in flight are always challenging.

I agree completely with the above comments. What you see in this image is cropped the only way I could from the original.... and I was aware of the defects..... your comments actually make me feel better.... that I was actually aware of how I could improve it. Thanks.
