Mark,
Very Nice! It looks like the water was without a single ripple.
Sorry to hear about the broken toe.... but as far as broken bones go a toe is a decent choice.

Inspired today for a couple of "self" portraits.

I really like the textures and tones of the stone.

Thanks for noticing!

Freaky... the wound is very convincing but would be a bit better if there were some pus oozing from it.

I take notice for several reasons. In a sea of nudes it stands out because of the graininess. It makes me think of the days of Tri X and pre anorectic models. Nicely done. Yes, the arm has some blown out areas.

or.. the state of health care...

I think the texture is a bit distracting and would like it more without it.... however, very nice.. I like the darkness and tones.

This evokes good feelings and memories of good times..... fun, happines, innocence.

I appreciate the solitude.... not so much the danger. I would have cropped out the light on the left edge.

Very nice. The composition is clean and simple with nice contrasting colors.

I would like to see more water cropped out.

Greetings,
I ask the same question all the time, "how can I improve". Unfortunately this is such a wide open question it is likely to go unanswered here.
What do I do? I look at images..... hundreds a day. I shoot..... a lot....15K in the last 8 months (I've had my 450D for 8 months so I'm only a hop skip and a jump ahead of you)
Read.... everything I can find.
Workflow and post processing.... this is constantly changing and just this last weekend I attended a workshop with an artist who demonstrated his general workflow and now I'm again off in another direction.
The critques around here can be brutally honest..... so be ready when you post here.
Regards,
Richard

Glacier National Park Scene
in Landscape
Posted
On my first trip ever to Glacier National Park I was overwhelmed with the
beauty and possibilities. We had some time limitations (under two
days) and were traveling by car. This was one of many stops on the
road to shoot. This image is from 3 exposures cooked a bit in both
Photomatix and CS4. Very little if any cropping at 10mm with the
Canon 10-22 and 7D.
Thanks,
Richard
