Hi Steve, thanks for your kind comments. Yes, we are blessed here to have such beautiful birds in the garden. Whatever the weather I'm outside with my morning cuppa to watch and enjoy. Have a safe and wonderful New Year. Kind regards

Thanks Grayham, your encouragement is very much appreciated!
Regards Louise

These beautiful Lorikeets spent an hour or so in my garden whilst I
was enjoying my first cuppa of the day. I loved watching them. I hope
you enjoy the photo.
Thanks for looking, Louise

This beautiful pair of birds spent an hour or so in my garden whilst I was enjoying my first cuppa of the day! I was mesmerized watching them preen each other and generally "canoodling" By the time I snuck inside to get the camera most of the show was over, but I hope you all enjoy the images I did manage to capture.
Kind regards
Louise

Hi Grayham
Whatever, the F stop this is a fabulous capture! The colours are spot on, as you know I get a lot of these birds in my garden and the detail here is terrific.
Well done

Hi Grayham,
this is a really lovely photo of an Anigozanthos, not sure which variety (there are around 11 species) of Kangaroo Paw it is that you captured here. Your Macro feature should give you some great shots if this example is anything to go by!! Oh, and love the cute little spider!
Cheers

Hi Grayham
Ruffled feathers or not! I like this shot, the Pelican has a rather 'Imperious' look on his face...
Kind regards

Playing in the backyard with my new Nikon P510. Some will groan that I have gone for basically a point and squirt. But, this little camera has some great features and....for me with minimal use of my left arm these days, this camera is light weight and sooo easy to use.
Having tried it out, I am very very impressed with quality of some of the shots I've taken, and I haven't even read the book properly yet!
watch this space...

n you have managed to get your milky water scene with the added spectacular Bear in the image. The kind of photo I aspire to. Kind regards Louise

Hi Paul, like a postcard. Great composition - I didn't miss the footprints, but did notice the shadow the geese throw. Your story line adds a lot more interest also, thanks for that. Kind regards Louise

Hi Jed, Lovely capture here. Always so difficult to get a good "in flight" shot. The dof is great, perhaps a little more sharpening?
Kind regards
Louise

Thanks Gail and Mike, your comments as always really help keep me fired up! Regards Louise

Thanks Gail, I just love the Blue sheen on these guys. You think you might get really close to them and then they suddenly race for the middle of the lake!
-
Thanks Gail, they are beautiful, aren't they!
Kind regards, Louise

Hi Gail and Mike
Great to hear from you and thanks for your kind comments. I like this "action" shot also. These guys flit about, raising their wings to scare small insects from the grass into flight and then catch them on the wing. I can sit on my back porch and watch them for ages!
Kind regards, Louise
-
Thanks Mike I was quite happy with this shot!

Grayham, you have a great "action" shot here. The shadow (even of the ball) just adds to the overall drama. Great photo. Louise
