  1. I like the image itself. An adjustment of the composition could help strengthen the image. For instance, the tops of the buildings and hill sit statically 1/2 way between the top and bottom of the image. Crop the image to show either more of the forground field or crop to show more sky. Adding foreground will emphasize the buildings. Adding sky will emphasize the mood. I agree with the comment to please add a larger image to your portfolio. This image appears to be distractingly pixelated. The style itself is worth developing.

I am documenting the construction of our company building, Here is a

shot where steel beams echo the landscape of the nearby Mount

    Timpanogos. Any suggestions?

First, I like the tilted angle. It breaks a typical horizontal shot nicely. As a viewer I feel like I'm in the water next to the woman.

Second, the upper half is predominately blue and the lower half yellow green. The yellow hat in the blue sky adds interest. Nice job photoshopping the sky to the scene. Third, as for the yellow color cast, it would be better to half the effect. Turn it down slightly.

Overall, an engaging shot- nicely done...

I went through your portfolio. It looks like you enjoy shooting! I suggest you bracket the exposure of your shots and post the best one. Photos such as this one are either underexposed or need some post processing.

I realize some of this may be intentional. But, once you get consistently good at exposure you're going to have a much stronger portfolio. I hope this information helps- Michael

  2. I would be intersted in a light touch of color. The tight street on the right is a nice contrast to the curving row of windows on the left. I like the angle and composition. It feels as though a viewer is really standing/leaning at this intersection.
