Hi Alex,
Gorgeous image, great photo! The dress got my eye in a wonderful manner. I had to make an effort to unfocus my eyes to be able to "look" at the whole. Here I have some little observation about the arms. They seem to be somehow strained by both the held objects and the position. Nevertheless, wonderful achievement.

I feel I need to write more about the remarks than about the photograph. Please take it as you feel. The image catches the eye and has good elements. But, in my opinion a very good work, not to mention a masterpiece, must not pull the viewer in any direction, and must be more than the sum of its elements. This image, to my regret, does pull the eye: (a) the unnatural fence shadow, (b) the strained neck, © the over done eyes, (d) the crossed look, (e) the discrepance between the mature appearance from eyes up vs. the childish appearance from eyes down. I have tried to imagine the real scene and made a false attempt to take the photogrph by myself. Most probably I would not press the shutter button. What does make me appreciate this photograph is the fact that has enough good elements and enough faults to make a good learnig case (if not a very good image and not a learning case nothing is left). I had the opportunity to examine my own weaknesses and to improve. Thank you both Andrey and the Elves!

I would venture to say that the girl is more beautiful than the image. What bothers me in the image are large areas of far too bright skin, loss of detail in the black robe at the back and an unnatural body posture, the strained left foot. I am not sure where the focus is. It should be at the eyes...

Love it! Maybe I would have removed the bottom building.

The main problem with the image is most probably with those who do not like it, as legitimate as it can be.I do love the sharp eyes that complement the diamond, like saying "Hey, look at me... see the diamonds?" As to the lips, I like the "sexiness" because such jewelry has the expectations of a sexual encounter. I should go like this, from bottom to top: ice cold skin, precious cold diamonds, crystal clear eyes, and then, the final human-woman touch in the lose hair. Tense expectations and offerings. You see? This cannot be but a GOOD photograph. In the end, please drop the categories. It does not matter if it is fashion or candid. Feel about it!

I like very much the idea and most of the image is very beautiful. My suggestion would be to crop out the shadow on the wall and on the girl's right hand. The right of the high neck should be white too. Then, I believe it to be a world class photo. Try a remake. We all shall enjoy it!!!

Special image, no doubt. Please correct the WB. The white feathers are far from white and the blue is far too heavy...

To start with, I have to say, I wish I had taken this photograph! This is a very difficult image to comment about. It is rich, powerful, inspiring and above all, brings to my mind a lot of associations. Indeed, life is like a mountain: one can climb up or down. One starts this new adventure "near the summit", there is something left to conquer... The back of the people allows me to imagine anyone starting a new and exciting experience... The man has the supporting lower position, while the woman, more like a giant butterfly, adds power and delicacy... The richness of the landscape, top to bottom, adds a last invitation to the adventure providing all it has in the open. The only element that is somehow bothering is the chopper, but it gets lost in the general beauty of the image. As to the BW quality, it is excellent on my calibrated monitor!!! I have seen it on a second one I use, not calibrated, and the image was unexciting. Please my friends, go and buy a calibration device. It costs a small fraction of the price of a good lens... Viewing this picture is like sitting in concert hall and listening to a Beethoven quartet. Writing this comment leaves me with the feeling that I start to clap hands before the music ends. But here, the music does not end...

Images of this quality bring to my mind questions about the very need for comments. There cannot be any comments. Praises are not needed. The artist has gone a complete circle. What one can say very few real words. I've been there and could not come back, the image too strong to separate. I think, now I understand the importance of this website and the like: to share expressions of humanity. Thank you photographer-artist.

I like very much the atmosphere, the composition, the BW tone. A young beautiful woman makes the loneliness even stronger. We do not expect her to be alone. But this provides strength, in me view. Still, there are some points to pay attention to. The fingers seems to be somehow stressed hinting to some "over directing". A half smoked cigarette should have been accompanied by a half (approximately) empty glass. If the intention was not to get "drunk" and forget, but to pick someone, then the right leg should have been more visible and "inviting". The woman in the right mirror gives the impression of waiting for the shooting to end. Any way, I wish I could make one like this.

This is not about the picture, but the photographer. What a gentle human touch! A tribute to the remaining humanity in this world. I believe Tony is a great story teller.

Oh my God... This is not a photo. This is a fable. And what a powerful one! It reminds me of the beginning of Mozart's Requiem.

I like very much the framing and the look of the bird's "face". I do not like the visible processing along the dark edges. I suggest shutting in raw format and generating jpg with Capture One by Phase one, not Nikon's Capture.
