I've found that doing an adequate job in representing this fine old machinery is hard. The machines of the era shown here were often very artistic works in themselves however un-artistic and unglamerous there work was. This is an excellent photograph of the genre. Congratulations on POW.

Very provocative and original.

Very pleasant and very original.

WOW. Aptly titled. Excellent design.
-
This one makes me laugh! And its because its so colorful and well done. Very original, to say the least. Do you think the beetle knew what was going on?
-
This photo is simply breathtaking. If there is a photo worth a 10 and 10, this is it.
-
Nice composition. Maybe a little under exposed or maybe its the scan.
-
This is good and the DOF works. Different view than what's usually seen.
-
This is great! Thinking in reverse. Love the idea.

Looks like you've got a handle on long exposure, Keith. I don't think there's any other way of learning it, just have to try and experiment. This is cool.

I think this would have worked better with Tri-X or HP-5 or Neopan. I've found T-max comes out kind of flat on shots like this. Also, the hose is distracting.
-
Been there, done that. Know how it feels. Good journalistic eye. You captured it just right.
-
Tom, Have you ever used good ol' Tri-X for shots like this? To my eye, T-max has always looked a bit flat when used indoors and with studio lighting. Just a thought.
-
I like this one a lot. The placing of the objects and the shadows give it an abstract look.
-
Absolutely superb. Creative photography doesn't get any better than this.

-
Yes, its abstract.

Good timing. You've got a good arrangement of the formation.

This is beautiful. The combination of color, solitude, and anticipation is breathtaking!
-
Sharp! Good job catching the effect.

Daniel - I think your work is tops, but I can't give this one more than a 3 and 3. The blur of the a/c just doesn't do it for me. I would have rather seen it just a second before when the pilot saluted or else when the CAT signaled and the pilot's head was slammed against the headrest. Or maybe panning with the plane as the wing passed over CAT's head. Understand, though, one doesn't get on a flight deck every day unless you work there.

This is a very complex, and therefore interesting, image. A "10" for originality.
