tom_menegatos 0 Posted June 2, 2001 I liked the way this looked in the negative as well. When I had first talked to this couple I had planned on doing some shots against a black background but had changed my mind and decided to do some contrastier shots against a light background. I should have done both. I really like the way the negative of this image looks. I'm going to be playing in my darkroom sometime this weekend making a print that looks like this. I tried to increase the contrast in a way to reflect how this would look with a paper negative. If I don't have good results I'll get some sheet film and try that. Quote Link to comment
think27 0 Posted June 5, 2001 I love this idea~! Maybe less light on the arm in the man...would make the foreground less dark in this..which I think would make it better... What an idea to light the shot with a negative in mind... a whole reverse of lighting techniques... Shadow areas will glow... Very interesting image.. I like it~! Quote Link to comment

nikelaos 0 Posted June 11, 2001 I like it when technique is used to show a great idea and not for itself. Your visual idea is brilliant and the technique helps to make it real. Congratulations Quote Link to comment
keith_micoli 0 Posted August 20, 2001 Tom, this is very cool. It forced me to spend quite a bit of time trying to think about how to light a scene to accomplish this effect. Congratulations on a fine shot. Quote Link to comment
