Beautiful shot. Excellent use of black & white.

Harlan-glad to see there's another farmer at heart on photo.net. Nice shot.
-
Ervin, this looks just as good as if it were shot on velvia. Good job!
-
Very stunning. The shadow detail on the sand dune plus the very dark sky really makes this shot work. Infra-red at its best!

Why not top ratings? It takes a lot of work and imagination to make a photo like this. Congratulations!

I agree with Markus. This is a 10/10. Simple, elegant, and beautiful. Congratulations!!!

This is nice! Simple but effective. Actually made me chuckle a bit.

Excellent colors. Also like the effect the long exposure has on the water.
-
Good effect, Jeff. The shadows really do the trick.

Very original. Good textures.

Tom - I guess I missed out. I rated it 2/2 hoping to see it magicaly change to 10/10 but it stayed 2/2. Good trick.

I like the aspect of this shot because its non-standard, showing the plane in a taxi turn.

Ditto on the respect. I had an uncle that flew them. Eight hours in an un-pressurized cockpit (no heating or air conditioning)and louder than loud should be. Too bad you can't capture the sound of the engines on film. It was marvelous. Goot shot!

Well Done, Dennis. All those who think you need image motion composition auto focus super high speed film medium format motor drive to take excellent aerial shots should see this picture. Color is excellent, perspective is excellent, and you had the audacity to do it. Reminds me of doing the same thing with a Piper Cub and an Olympus Pen.

This works for me but perhaps including a little more symbolism would help. The vet with the Vietnam jacket is part of that symbolism and is self-explanatory. Maybe if he were standing next to a fellow who was obviously from WWII.
-
I'd go with the original. A very unique way of viewing the subject. The lighting works to great advantage. Congratulations!

I like this version the best of the two. The fact that the liquid is being poured from something is implied and doesn't need to be seen.

This photo isn't rated high enough if my opinion. So what if Muench did a similar one? This shows that Mr. Muench isn't the only one who can take oustanding photos. Congratulations! 8 and 8.

This should be a photo of the week. Simply wonderful. Original pose which looks like a great sculpture. Technically perfect photo. Congratulations. This should be an example of a 10 and 10 rating.

Interesting. It works for me because the feet are not attached to faces, the woman's feet are quite expressive as are her shoes. And the whole scene doesn't depend on the title (based on location) you have given it; it stands by itself.

Glad to see that ratings up above 6 are not required for a POW.
