I assume the structure of the foam on her back renders much better when this shot is viewed on a print rather than on a computer screen. On my screen, it does not look very nice. Otherwise, I like the composition, the idea and the light. A nice picture.

These poles and chain are an ornament around an official-national
sculpture -I think it's a foutain, I can't remember!- in Vientiane,
Laos. I played with the DOF and framing to obtain an aesthetic shot,
a sort of abstraction. My goal was to take a dull subject and trying
to make it interesting. Some like it, other don't even notice it...
and you?
Thanks!

Shooting at breaking waves, I had the same exposure problem. Something I wanted to try, but did not do yet, was to use a graduated grey filter, thus reducing the exposure range. By the way, this picture is wonderful!!!
Happy shooting!

This shot was taken to test the new Velvia 100F.

Use of a fill flash would have been nice and also having the camera lower, colser to the ducks level.

Flat light of an overcast day, but I tried to capture the idea of
waht is transportation in Vietnam... an old bicycle, an old train on
a crumbling bridge... although it is changing at the speed of light!
I have the feeling I should have done something better with the
geometric lines of the bridge structure, or something... I dunno...

I tried to work on the composition on this picture and show
the "filthy" reality...

I cheated reality with this picture (see technical comments), but I
like it. Comments? Thanks!

Commants? Thanks!

A picture I posted a long time ago... If you enjoy the heavy, wide
lens deformation! :)
I measured the light on the Metreon building and added 1 stop.

I have not heard of the Euro-police so far, but I keep some BW & straight pictures handy if ever this eventuality occures. :)

Classical subject all over Japan! I tried to give this sens of
symetry with a strict framing. Thanks for your rating and comments!

A picture taken in the early morning from the balcony of my room. I
thought isolating these three monks and putting them on the diagonal
was a good idea. But is the result satisfying? Thank you for your
ratings an comments!

You are trying to catch special moments and attitude in your photos. I think you can have a good eye, try to work on the technical aspects of composition and lightning.
-
I rated this for the originality. I like the idea of using pieces of magazine as some sort of make-up. It could be a good illustration of this relation Magazines and Teens.

? Completly out of focus... Try to take closeup of the skulls sculpture with special lightning, it could me more interesting...

Talking about photojournalism... great shot, lots of intensity in the looks. I think it would deserve a better BW print though, or maybe it is my screen.

A picture I took during a religious procession in Tokyo. Framing is
not perfect, but I like the attitudes, the light and the looks.

This is a re-post, so you may have seen it before. It is the very
first picture I took with my beloved 20-35mm f2.8.
Any comments welcome. Thanks!
