3.
Charles and Laura, thank you both very much. The background in this photo was a sunlit pond completely covered by green algae.

  4.
Thank you, John. I think it's one of the most photographed spots in the Eastern US.

  6.
Jim, I can't specifically address your question since I've never used it on a T3i (I have one, just haven't mounted the 150-600 on it). Even on my gripped 5DIII, it feels a little nose heavy, so I'm sure Marcus and David are right about the off-balance feel.

I suspect you will like the 150-600, although you don't indicate why you want this lens. I shoot static, or nearly so, subjects (mainly wildlife) in decent light most of the time. For the cost, it is a fine and versatile lens. I think the IQ is on a par with the Canon 100-400. And the extra 200mm of FL is terrific for shooting birds and other small subjects.

  7.
Some say our honeybees are decreasing in numbers. Are pathogens responsible? Weather? Invasive species? I don't know, but I was glad to see an abundance yesterday during my outing.

    Gold Coast

Looks almost like HDR or a painting, Jim. Love the colors in the water and the earthy gold tones in the cliff. My only nit is the white structure up on the cliff top. My eye keeps landing there and gets stuck. But the framing of the cliffs is perfect as is, and it is unavoidable to leave the white structure in the frame (or clone it out?). Overall, gives me a feeling of immense relaxation from a terrific spot to soak in the beauty of the place. Nice work!

Looks like a Western Fence Lizard. Their coloration varies quite a bit. Here's a link...

http://thenatureniche.com/2012/04/21/western-fence-lizard/
