William and Matt,
ViewNX is a terrible format. Not user friendly. But I am not wedded to it. I will look around for software that I like and move on. I was hoping to have a good reason to tell the misses I need a new camera. :) besides the fact that I just do.

Well, here is what I got from Nikon Service...
"Hi Dallas

Thanks for using Nikon products

The reason is because we no longer support Picture Project. What We can recommend you to do is to migrate to Nikon transfer and View NX softwares here you have the links
Hope this helps

Thanks
Jacob.-"
Well it doesn't. I sent a reply back to Jacob
Matt, thank you but I do not believe that the card itself is the issue. If I put it in the card reader on my computer, I am able to copy the images from the card and then eject it. It just seems as if the software started acting up.
Any other thoughts?
Thanks,

Hello All,

Last evening I attempted to transfer, the images on my SanDisk Mem Card from my D40. The battery was low, and although this has never been an issue before, I thought that the failure to transfer images may have been from that. After Charging the battery and shooting a few more images today, I attempted to transfer images with Picture Project again, and again it will not.

When I open the transfer menu with the camera attached via USB cable the card is read, and is visible in PP but it will not allow me to transfer them. The status says "0 of 0 photos selected to transfer"

I have:

Formatted the disk-NO Change

Tried another USB Port-NO Change

Rebooted-NO Change

Downloaded/Installed latest PP Software-NO Change

Tried using the mem card slot on computer-NO Change

What do you guys think could be the issue? Maybe this is just the reason I need to upgrade! :) I see the D200 is at a good price.....

Also is there a free software that allows file transfers and basic editing that is better? by basic editing I mean croping/resizing/maybe simple adjustments...etc out there?

Thanks in Advance,

Wow this it the top thread?! HA :)
I do get a chuckle out of everyone's little jokes....James Glucksman's ""Ca-non" or Sanford Gerald admission to trusting wikipedia for example.
Frank Revi and Dave Perkes whole Brittish/American tiff(come on we are all cusins anywho) is something to watch for.
Happy New Year.

Hello All,
Santa brought me a Seagate 1T External Desk Hard Drive and I was wondering if anyone has used or knows about this product your info would be appreciated.
I have read a few reviews and they have been mixed. Some have said that it is wonderful, and some have said it died in 1-10 days.
Anyone?
Thanks in advance,

Dunno what happened but I'll try again.

I think the more appropriate question would be "

Anyone, never, use a ultra wide lens vertically?

This was shot this morning, of the first light over the atlantic in Delray Beach.

I did not read through all of the posts but, the
70-300 VR will not accept a teleconverter.
I have it and was thinking the same thing and the El Manual :) says it can not be used with a teleconverter!

Passport Photo
in Travel

Hello All,
Just wondering if anyone has taken their own Passport Photo?
I could just go to the CVS and for 7.99 they will do it, but what is the fun in that when I have everything I need here. The state department had even been kind enough to spell out the exact specs on the photos you have to submit...
Anyone have experiance with this or heard of any issues in doing so?
I put it in sub-cat canada because that is where I am going. :)
Thanks,
