Dimitri I love the new camera. I'm still getting use to the various features and the way in which it photographs, but I'm having so much fun working it all out and my daughter is making a nice subject matter to test the camera and lenses out on

well composed image. Nice angle, crop factor and timing. There's good subject isolation however as a photoshop user I think with some additional post production work this image can achieve even more. Nice image overall

Thank you all very much for your thoughts on this image. I created this image of my daughter because of the very reasons/ feelings many of you have when viewing it. Its somewhat a disturbing and uneasy image to view. I guess I try, where possible, to push the boundaries and try to create something thought provoking. While working on this image, I continuously found myself looking into my daughter's eyes and smiling at all the great times we have when we're out and about.

The tear and expression are real, not fabricated.

She was crying because she couldn't have a cookie she wanted since it was so close to dinner time and it would have ruined her appetite.
