You have a great eye for seeing this. I just love these little close up's in nature as I like to call them "portraits of nature". Love the colors in the image and those spectral highlights just make the image. Only thing that I would change in a perfect world improvement is the rock on bottom. Being it is the largest rock and with totally different texture, tends to add a lot of weight to the image and to me doesn't fit as well with the rest of the image. If that rock was moveable before shooting, I would have liked to see that composition. But overall awesome shot, I love it.
If you don't already know who Charles Cramer is, check out his work @ www.charlescramer.com. I think you will be very imspired by his images. Checked out your portfolio, very impressive work Janis.

Great shot Darren, very nice compostion with rocks in foreground and the symtry between the patterns in clouds and the rocks and water in the foreground, well done. But what I really love is the color dynamics in this image, with the blues, oranges and browns through out the image, nicely done. Great shot!

Beautiful shot, love the warm light hitting the mountains and color in the sky. Like the long exposure that shows movement in the clouds and the symtry between shape of the mountain that is also in the clouds above it, well done!

Another beautifu shot Marc. Great composition, I love the way the foreground hills and stream lead your eye into the image where you have the beautiful mountains and sky in background. Living in same area, I have to really appriciate your work Marc. BTW I saw your new website and really like it, well done!

Great shot, love the wide angle perspective. Flowers are beautiful and I really like the early morning light touching top of the mountain. Well done!

Beautiful shot. I love the colors in this, reds, oranges, greens, lavender. Then those soft hues in the sky just set off those rocks. Very well done!

Beautiful shot. I love the cool colors of this time of day. The reflection is awesome, movement of the clouds perfect. Only thing I might of done different was clone out the lights in the horizon.

Thanks for your comments and critiques. Believe it or not, there wasn't much saturation added to this image, a little in the clouds and I brought out the reds and brows a little, but that was it. I was using a Singh ray color combo filter. Having the polarizer with the color intensifier is almost like shooting velvia but with a DSLR. This filter or the regular color intensifier never leave my lens now.

What a beautiful shot. Have to love the Palouse, I can't belive that sky. Colors are impressive. Just made a trip there this year myself for the first time.

Beautiful shot, love colors in this image. The composition is really nice, I love the movement in the water and how it leads you into the image and the background, nicely done. Only thing I might change is to try and put a little more blue in the sky where it is kind of gray. But overall great shot Time, well done!

Another top notch shot, well done! I love the different perspective from Steptoe butte, very orginal.

Beautiful shot, what colors and the god rays just make this image. Beautiful foreground, colors, everything. Have to love those Singh Ray filters, my color combo hardly ever leaves my lens. It is almost like shooting Velvia with a digital camera.

Beautiful image. I love the composition and how the rocks are placed in the image. The water blur I think is perfect for this scene and I love the early warm light hitting the rocks and water. I love the colors in this especially the gold's. But I personally think that a little more color depth would make it even better, so I would put some blue into the shadow area of the water, kind of like the hint I see in the very top R corner. Overall great shot and well done!
