  1. Thanks, yes that works, though previously things like the title and author were copied across in the BB Code I paste the Flickr short URL, https://flic.kr/p/2nQYb8n and get: 👍
  2. The new site has happily imported my old posts which shared photos I had posted on Flickr through the use of BBCode in the form, [url=https://flic.kr/p/2nQYb8n][img]https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52406336819_26aa580eb7_b.jpg[/img][/url][url=https://flic.kr/p/2nQYb8n]SR 4-6-2 "BATTLE OF BRITAIN" CLASS NO. 34072 257 SQUADRON[/url] It doesn't appear to work now. I can insert the image by using the direct image URL thus, but this violates I believe Flickr's preference to have the image supplied with a link to the source page. It used to be that we could copy and paste BBCode into photo.net, and I can't see how to do it now - have I missed something?

  6. I'm sorry to have missed this message, but it is auspicious that I saw it today ... You can read about the shark at https://www.headington.org.uk/shark/; it became a cause celebre in Oxford as it was installed without planning permission and the legal process went through to the very highest level to confirm that the sculpture could stay (against a city order to remove it). It was erected in 1986 on the 41st anniversary of the atomic bomb being dropped on Nagasaki. Today, the 77th anniversary of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima an Oxford experimental performance theatre group took to the streets of our neighbourhood to make the connection between the shark and current anxieties about the war in Ukraine. The formal title of the sculpture is 'Untitled 1986' and the guy who commissioned it said, 'The shark was to express someone feeling totally impotent and ripping a hole in their roof out of a sense of impotence and anger and desperation…. It is saying something about CND, nuclear power, Chernobyl and Nagasaki.'
