Another beautifully done and sensitively handled portrait for the Paiken body of work...bravo, Lawrence!
Yes, I did try the "venerable" door in colour at first, but it just didn't highlight the texture and character enough. B&W just suits some subjects, I guess.
Take care, Nance

Fantastic, Lawrence! It's as if the glass was cracked over top of a mounted photo. Very original and well-done.

Great title and equally impressive image to go along with it. I love the treatment you've used--it's perfect here.
Thank you as well for the comment you made on my "Seaweed" image.

This is really stunning, Tony--great detail in the building (this is your nearby park??!! Nice!) and of course, gorgeously exposed sky.
Cheers, Nancy

I've been meaning to tell you, John...this is an excellent portrait. Very natural. There's a story behind those wrinkles!

Please view LARGER. "Old Town" Lunenburg was recognized in 1995
by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It has remained largely
unchanged since its founding in 1753. Thanks for viewing!

New style lobster traps near Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia. Thanks for
your time!

If you used flash, it doesn't really show...the eye is more likely covered with the bird's "third eyelid" or nictating membrane as it is trying to shake loose one of the frozen berries. Great capture!! Wish it was a touch sharper.

I only had my short telephoto with me when I spotted this Robin in berry

Ohhh...thank you, Leslie, I needed that! We've had a couple of deceptively warm days with rain recently...and then this morning, SMACKED in the face with winter again! Soft and beautiful.
