Really nice concept--that low point of view--and an appealing softness.

Ahh, to be a sensitive, emotional teen again...ha! No thanks--been there, done that. This is a very evocative image, Lawrence--love the tight framing and moody lighting. Perfect!
P.S. I've been away for a bit and missed you...

Very nice! I can feel the motion in the water. Slightly sinister and oh, might I mention that I DON'T WANT TO SEE ANY MORE SNOW!!!
Just kidding, Lawrence my friend. Another beaut.

Your treatment has brought out the fine detail in this fellow's feathers quite nicely, Lawrence. Beautiful portrait!

I don't even know where this is in Toronto! What a great juxtaposition, Lawrence. Way to go!

Thanks to Senol, Paul and Christoph for their great comments! To Paul: Believe it or not, I increased saturation very little. It was a brilliantly sunlit day, the building was painted bright red, and the sky was incredibly blue at 90 degrees to the sun. Mother Nature took care of the saturation in this case!

One of the most complex and stirring images I've seen in a long time. Even if I hadn't seen the title or known the back-story, I would have been emotionally moved. Wow. But knowing the back-story makes me empathetic--I said goodbye to my two 20+ year old cats maybe 5 years ago and I still have a hard time looking at their portraits.

Wow, a conundrum of ducks! A panoply of ducks! A cacaphony of ducks! A terrific capture, as always, Lawrence. And thank you for your enthusiastic and generous comment and rating on my Gerbera shot.
Hope you have a great week,
Best, Nance

There's a soft, almost dreamy feel to this image; it fits the atmospheric quality here perfectly.
