You almost got it Jeff, it's tough to nail the focus with such shallow depth of field. Your focus is in front of the eyes and needs to be on the eyes. I'd definetly gives this another go. Cheers, Ryan.

Dariuz, I agree with coment above, there is some exellent story telling goin on here... warm summer passion. Lovely compostion, yet interesection where the head meats the cross bar is relatively distracting. Very nice colors and use of depth.

Ths has the makings of a timeless image!

Hi guys, I have played with this image in lightroom to straighten the horizon as well as tweak it even more, also I have tried desaturating the green. In the end I prefer the half cocked version with the green water, perhaps it has something to do with my half cocked state of mind I was in the day I shot this image!

I greatly appreciate all the coments and criticism. Thanks Ole, Kieth and Lucy very much for your critiques and thank you also for visiting.

    Happy shooting,

I really like the scene and perspective that you have goin on here. I wonder what this scene would look like if the boy were deeper in it with his hand being where his head is. The compostion would benefit from it and also improve the overall depth of the image. Overall this is very well done.

  1. For sure this does not compete with the colors, light and compostion of your fall shot. However I think three things could make a great shot here...

    1. Use the same composition as your fall shot.

    2. Better light, morning or night.

    3. Black and white.

What pleasent surprise this amount of white stuff was!

    Is this Willow creek?

    Happy Shooting,

    Ryan
