    Tender Moment

Another great moment. The only thing missing is what you had in your ring shot... Some kind of background. These banquet halls get pretty dark that's why I usually try to drag the shutter to get some ambient light or I add two strobes bouncing off the ceiling at opposite corners of the room to make sure things don't go black in the background. I think it is nice to have the background provide some context.

It is a nice idea to have the twilight sky behind them. I would have recomposed it so that the subjects were set against the sky rather than the dark mountainside. Maybe a wider lens and a lower angle would have helped with that. I just think it would have more impact as a silhouette. Hope that helps:-)

The bride and groom need to be lit with strobe or exposed for so that the skin tones and dress are rendered close to their natural range. Natural light can be very nice but in this case the picture is very underexposed relative to the subject.

Just 2 personal preferences. I think this would have a lot more impact if you crop the ground so that it is perfectly horizontal and crop out the dirt leaving only the tops of the grass. Also, you can selectively darken the blue sky in most raw processors these days and it would make the sky punchier. Hope that helps:-)

Nice natural moment. I always dislike (not hate) it when the B&G are both facing away from camera and walking. I know it is one of the most popular cliches ever, but i just don't get it when they are both turned away. This is a variation on that theme that is much more satisfying.

Whenever I have a bride who is fuller figured, I never pose her with the groom behind her. I always face them a bit toward one another so that he does not look smaller than her in scale. It also helps to have her turn her body about 45 degrees to one side or the other (preferable away from the light source so that the shadow will have a slimming effect. All women will appear to have a slimmer hourglass shape at a 45 degree angle rather than straight on. In this shot her figure covers 2/3 of the frame. If you pose them as I describe she will cover only 1/2 and the groom will appear larger relative to her.

I like this because it is a almost an abstraction. I keep trying to think how I would use this in an album as a background, but it stands up to well on its own for that.

I love it. I wish more homes in my neighborhood had blue walls:-) It would help my pics out a lot. Anyway, its a good detail shot and the girl in the background adds a lot of character to the story. You are using a vignette and punching up the color, yes?

This shows a lot of personality. That is the best part about this shot. the composition is also very good. I often do not like tilting because people tend to tilt out of habit rather than to help the composition. In this case I think the tilt helps to frame the people in a very balanced way. I like It!
