  2. A funny question may be and not important. We all know, that you cannot take a SD card used in D7200 and put in a D500 and see the D7200 pictures.

However, I met a guy, who had a SD card from his D40, which he could put into his D7200 and see the D40 pictures !! Anybody believes this, if so how come it is possible?

  3. By pressing the center of the multi selector the view will be 1:1. Is it possible to change this setting to say 80% instead of 100%? I am aware, that you can adjust the viewing step by step using the +/- in the magnifying glasses on the left, but that is not fast enough imho and 100% is a little on the high side.
  4. That is a Nikon F with a plain prism. Offhand, I think it's from roughly 1964 or '65-I'm too lazy to look up the S/N at the moment, but it's earlyish(6.7 million SN) and marked "Nippon Kogakua" on the top right.

Great camera! This was Nikon's first SLR, and arguably one of the most significant cameras in the history of photography.

According to my information it is from late 1966

  5. For family and vacation images, I think the D7100 can already do an excellent job. Any D800, D810 and certainly the D850 will be way an overkill.

    Agree :)

Yes with these 3 models it will be an overkill, however, I am positive, that the interest for other types of photos than family and vacation will appear, as soon as you find out, what can be done with any of the 3 models

  6. This lens is not compatible with a D90, a D90 does not support "E"-type lenses which have an Electronic Aperture control, which requires a newer DSLR..

    Here is a compatibility chart . : http://www.nikonusa.com/Images/Learn-Explore/Photography-Techniques/2011/Which-Nikkor-is-Right-for-You/Media/NIKKOR-lens-compatibility-chart.pdf

Sorry my bad - I had no idea, as I do not have the D90; but I am happy that it is compatible with the cameras I have, because I had never check that before buying the 200-500mm!!
