1.
This is a purchase of a used vintage Soligor Spot Sensor Light Meter. There are no instructions that could be found on the internet for this original version. There is an instruction manual for the updated digital version but the viewfinder read outs for both versions are different. Do you know what the H and L scale in the viewfinder mean? Is the L scale reading transferred to the scale on the lens barrel to determine the shutter and aperture settings? Or is it the H scale reading used? The meter will be used with DSLR cameras. Thank you.

 2.
For the future Profoto Giant Silver 210 addition. Or do you think the Profoto AcuteB2 600's are sufficient?

 3.
Great choices. I am using a Profoto AcuteB2 600 AirS (344MHz) Pb and a Profoto AcuteB2 600 AirS LiFe for most of my people shoots. Otherwise, for events on the run requiring E-TTL II, I have a couple of Canon Speedlite EX-RT's tethered to a Quantum Turbo 3 Battery and a Quantum Turbo SC Battery. Not the greatest, but it works.

 4.
I am looking at a used Profoto Acute 2 2400 pack. It is the best bang for the dollar for portability versus the larger and heavier Profoto Pro 7A. So, the older Profoto Acute2 Head won't be sufficient for my use.

 5.
Thanks again, Michael for your help. I wasn't able to get any full specifications on Google or Profoto for the discontinued Acute2 head. But, found everything on the Acute/D4 head. Now I know why there are price differences between the two on eBay.

 6.
What are the differences between a Profoto Acute2 Head vs a Profoto Acute2/D4 Head vs a Profoto Acute/D4 Head?

 7.
Bob: I am not a fan of second or even third catch lights in subject's eyes. I will experiment with the Giant Silver in different closeup scenarios and see what results will be yielded. Thanks.

 8.
Good point, Bob. Thank you. I won't be going in close with the Giant Silver. I would be using a Profoto Acute/D4 Ring or other type of modifier off to the side for the close ups.

 9.
LOL! Unless that photographer friend shows up with a Broncolor Para 220 FB and mobile Broncolor light and battery generator. Thanks for the excellent video link!

 10.
Exactly my thoughts. I want to be able to transport and set it up easily inside the lobby of a banquet hall without killing myself.

 11.
I was just looking at the semi-parabolic Giant Silver 210 on line and would prefer it. But, your sound advice has persuaded me to go with the 210. Thanks.

 12.
The $4500 one. Your thoughts on the two (Giant Reflector 180 vs Giant Silver 150)? I want to be able to stand in front of the reflector and not have my shadow cast into the frame.

 13.
Will my shadow show on the person(s) being photographed if I stood in front of the Reflector? The subject(s) will be between 8 - 15 feet away. I've read that the photographer's shadow will not show on the subject(s) with the larger Giant Reflectors. A Profoto AcuteB Head with Zoom Reflector 2 connected to a Profoto AcuteB2 600 AirS battery generator will be used.

 14.
Aside from price, what are the differences between the following cable and which one would you recommend? Thank you.

Quantum CZ2 Power Cable for Turbo Series Power Packs

Impact CZ2 HV Cable with Locking Mechanism for Canon

Bolt CKE2 HV Locking Flash Power Cable

 15.
Aside from their colours and prices, what are the differences between the:

- Manfrotto 2983 Adjustable Background Holder Crossbar (108") and the

- Manfrotto 272B Adjustable Background Holder (108")?

 16.
There is no issue in feeding the Ring into the Diffuser opening. The issue is supporting the umbrella. I think a swivel umbrella adapter may do it.

 17.
I am waiting for a local distributor to respond and will update here. Thanks.

 18.
Would the Profoto Acute/D4 Ring fit through the opening of the Profoto Umbrella S Diffuser?

Here are links to the diffuser and ring:

http://profoto.com/ca/products/light-shaping-tools-modular-light-shapers-for-profoto-heads-monolights/item/umbrella-s-diffusor-1-5

and,

http://profoto.com/int/products/battery-generators/heads-for-battery-generators/item/acute-d4-ring?category_id=356

 19.
Thank you gentlemen for the information. B & H mentions in their Overview the Profoto 1A charger draws 0.25 amps to recharge the aforementioned AcuteB batteries which I would interpret as safe as for use as a continuous trickle charger for the Pb battery. A monthly inspection of the LiFe battery to determine the charge level would be sufficient to re-engage the charger until the battery is topped up. Am I correct?

 20.
Stephen: Are the Profoto chargers mentioned above not designed to tend to the battery rather than to kill the battery?
