1.
Will the above mounting adapter connected to a Quantum T4D work with a Canon EOS 5D Mark III, Canon EOS 6D and a Canon EOS 1DX?

 2.
My 5D3 uses a 256 GB Lexar Professional 150 MB/s 1000x SDXC UHS II/U3 card and a 32 GB Lexar Professional 1000x UDMA 7 CompactFlash card. I shoot in RAW at the fastest Drive for runway fashion work. When the CF card is full, the camera will write to the SDXC card. The CF card will allow up to 14 frames per second continuous before it slows. The SDXC card will slow to a crawl after 10 images. Therefore, the CF card will not choke like the SDXC card.

 3.
What are the differences between the Profoto Speed Ring 100660 vs Profoto RFI Speed Ring 100501? They both are compatible with a Profoto RFI 1 x 4 Strip Box.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/230927-REG/Profoto_100660_Speed_Ring_for_Softboxes.html

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/900688-REG/Profoto_100501_Speed_Ring_Adapter.html

 4.
Dan: My guess is whatever the eBay price is minus 70% markup.

 5.
Peter Cohen, I agree that the look of the Eyelighter is amazing and also unique.

Rodeo Joe, thanks for the DIY tip. I will look into crafting something similar. LOL!

 6.
Which butterfly style lighting setup detailed below is "generally" the best for headshots?

1) A Mola Demi beauty dish 3' above and in front of the subject's eyes and a Wescott Eyelighter reflective panel placed under the subject's chin, or

2) A Mola Demi beauty dish 3' above and in front of the subject's eyes and a 1x4' strip box with a silver interior, inner and front diffusion panels placed under the subject's chin?

http://www.lightingrumours.com/westcott-eyelighter-5857

http://profoto.com/int/products/light-shaping-tools-modular-light-shapers-for-profoto-heads-monolights/item/softbox-rfi-1x4-30x120cm

 7.
The Canon EF 24-70 mm f/2.8L II USM is my main workhorse. I use the Canon EF 70-200 mm f/2.8L IS II USM more than the Canon EF 16-35 mm f/2.8L II USM.

 8.
And then you can come back here to tell us...

 9.
Do you have experience with this LED ring flash/LED video kit in TTL mode? Does it provide accurate TTL exposures within 4.5 metres (15 feet) of the subject? Other accessories for this kit will be the Quantum QF29 Omicron Mounting Bracket, Quantum FW31 cable and a Quantum Turbo 3 battery with cable.

 11.
You are looking at your specified equipment to weigh about 5 pounds. It is recommended to use a safety factor of 1.5 to 2.0. Therefore, you will be selecting a travel tripod to support 7.5 to 10 pounds. The tripod should be less than 24 inches in compressed length. Look at Manfrotto and Gitzo variants. I own both brands. The 17 year old Manfrotto carbon fibre holds 13 pounds. The larger carbon fibre Gitzo holds 88 pounds. The Manfrotto is my travel tripod supporting a Canon EOS 5D Mark III with battery grip.

 12.
Must be a non-seller. I have not seen any used Profoto HardBoxes on eBay.

 13.
Have you tried this third party light modifier? Does it replicate the results of the Profoto HardBox #505720? Any fit and finish issues? I understand the Profoto version fits on all of their monolights and flash heads unlike the Light Ignition?

Here is an eBay link to the Light Ignition HardBox for Profoto:

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Light-Ignition-HardBox-for-Profoto-monolights-and-flash-heads-/171596091070?hash=item27f3ec8ebe:g:86wAAOSwqu9U1Gdu

 14.
Thank you, Howard. This may be the ball head for me.

 15.
Do you have experience with this Sunwayfoto geared head? I cannot find any videos demonstrating how this head works. It is about half the price of the Arca Swiss d4 Tripod Head with a FlipLock Lever Quick Release (Geared).

 16.
Thanks for the explanation Rodeo Joe. I was able to obtain 50 600 Ws flashes with a recharge time of approximately 1 s on the Fast mode. The UPS's LCD was reading 75% battery power capacity remaining with 102 minutes of runtime left. I guess if I would have continued popping the head the UPS would have yielded a total of 125 600 Ws flashes.

 17.
Correction. The warning beeps are actually to indicate that thr UPS is on battery power. The UPS will shut off after a couple of 2400 Ws pops.

 18.
To update, I purchased a used Acute 2 and a used Acute/D4 Head. Both are capable of outputting 2400 Ws when connected to my Acute2R 2400 generator. I had the Acute2 Head tested on a D4 at the store before buying.

 19.
To update, the new replacement power cable from Profoto is 16 AWG. I found the 18 AWG desktop PC cable feeling warm after firing a dozen shots at 2400 Ws indicating a potential overheating of the cable which could be a safety issue.

 20.
Thanks for responding, Ellis. I purchased the unit yesterday to protect a desktop PC and it's monitor. Today, I connected the Profoto Acute2R 2400 to the CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD and fired a Profoto Acute/D4 Head at 1/4 power (600 W), 1/2 power (1200 W) and 1/1 power (2400 W). The UPS could fire comfortably at 600 W, but initiated warning beeps at the higher outputs indicating a potential battery overload. The instructions of the UPS state to input no more than 80% (720 W) of the units capacity (900 W). Therefore, I will agree with you that a Vagabond Extreme Lithium capable of 3200 Ws is the compatible solution to 2400 Ws generators.

 21.
Has anyone connected their generator (i.e. Profoto Acute2R 2400 or equivalent) to the above UPS battery backup? If you have, how many full power pops on your generator and number of heads did you get before the battery died? This 900 Watt sealed lead acid CyberPower is designed as a pure sine wave unit and is hundreds of dollars cheaper than the 800 Watt Godox LP-800X Lithium-Ion . Thanks.

 22.
Felix: The price. The Profoto 210 is easier to setup.

 23.
Yes, the cable will provide electrical feed from the generator to the head. I can use my PC cable and then plug that into an extension cord to wall outlet. Thank you for your help, Ellis.

 24.
I purchased a used Profoto Acute2R 2400 from a camera store which did not come with the power cable. I have 14 days to return it. An OEM replacement cable is $53 US. As an alternative, a computer monitor or PC power cable with a female NEMA plug would fit. Is the 16.4' OEM cable a CSA TYPE LL81924 SVT SHIELDED 60º C 18AWGX3C FT2 444027? I have limited electrical knowledge and don't want to fry the generator or start a fire with a wrong generic cable from an electrical supplier.
