FASHION ART TORONTO

    Ali Haider. April 21, 2018
  2. What happened with BobAtkins.com? He has not been active for at least 2 years. Is he alive and well?
  3. Does it zoom and focus like the Profoto and Elinchrom versions?
  4.
Too good to be true? Do you own this and does it live up to it's claim that it is as sharp as Nikon, Zeiss, Leica and Canon lenses?

https://www.hdzoom360.com/pre-g/en/index.html?Affid=789&s1=54&s2=490018&s3=495391879&s4=&s5=61665575

  5.
Michael: Thanks. That's the answer I was looking for.

  6.
Charles, I have fashion runway experience and have given this designer some images of her runway show for free. Now, she wants to pay me for off runway shoots of next season's outfits. She will pay. Just need to know what ballpark figure to present. Thanks.

  7.
I've been asked to photograph 15 female outfits worn by models for a fashion designer. The work will be local and I will be working without an assistant. What fee should I be charging? Thanks.

  8.
Leaked before it is officially announced by Canon?

https://mpex.com/canon-eos-m5-mirrorless-digital-camera-body-only.html#product_tabs_tab_specs_dims

  9.
PCB confirmed that the Vagabond II is not compatible with Lithium-ion batteries.

  10.
Howard: That is what an electrical engineer with a masters degree said too. Thanks.

  11.
The $16 Genesis NP5 12 Volt 5 Ah battery is one brand supposedly compatible with the Profoto AcuteB2 600 AirS. Are there other Pb brand batteries that would be compatible, or do I just go buy any Pb battery with the proper Voltage and Ah? Profoto wants around $100 for their battery. Thanks.

  12.
Yes. I went a little deeper into PCB's website and read the same warning here:

https://www.paulcbuff.com/lithium-warning.php

Obviously, PCB's battery charging technology is not as advanced as Profoto's.

  13.
While waiting for Paul C. Buff to return my email inquiry from yesterday, I will ask here.

Will the Paul C. Buff Vagabond II's charger be able to recharge a Lithium-ion battery? Their B20A stock battery is a 20Ah, 12 V Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) unit. An aftermarket Lithium-Ion (LiFePo4) battery which is smaller in dimensions is also a 20 Ah, 12 V unit at approximately 4 times the price more.

For a comparison in technologies, I have the Profoto Acute B2 600 AirS/R and their 1.0 A charger is able to recharge their 5.0 Ah, 13.2 Volt LiFePo4 battery as it is also able to recharge their original 5.0 Ah, 12 V SLA battery.

Thanks.

  14.
Ken: What is the latest firmware upgrade on your B2 system?

  15.
Marc, Profoto got back to me after I had asked this question here. The Profoto Speed Ring 100660 is only compatible with their RF and a couple of their OCTA boxes. Profoto RFI Speed Ring 100501 is only compatible with their RFI soft and strip boxes. Thanks for your assistance.

  16.
I am interested in the above equipment but have been told by users of it's interface issue with the Canon EOS 5D Mark III causing intermittent under exposed images in TTL. There are no reported issues with the Canon EOS 6D, 5DS/R and 1D X. Have you had similar problems with the 5D3?

  17.
Barry: Yes, to repeat, it is free as mentioned in my comment above.

  18.
For concerts with varying light levels at the front of the stage, I would advise that you use two DSLR's both with prime lenses faster than f/2.8. I've noticed at different venues that press photographers with press passes who are able to walk freely at the front of the stage use the 16-35/2.8, 24-70/2.8 and/or 70-200/2.8 combinations. For press photographers with press passes at some open air stadiums, they will use a 400/2.8 on a monopod from the aisle of the lower tier seating area.

  19.
Silver Efex Pro 2 is the reason why I downloaded the free version last week.

  20.
I have a Canon EF 300 mm f/2.8L IS USM lens which is an equivalent to your lens in minimum weight and experience with your lens or longer lenses is not as relevant in my case in deciding on a tripod and monopod that would function with respect to it's maximum carrying capacity and of course, performance. For a monopod and head, I use the Really Right Stuff MC-34 Carbon Fibre Monopod with their MH-02 LR Monopod Head. For a tripod, I use the Gitzo GT5532LS Systematic 6X Carbon Fiber Tripod (Long). The head like the tripod and monopod choices is purely personal and I opted for the Arca-Swiss d4 Tripod Head with a Classic Knob Quick Release (Geared). The equipment choices will be able to support whatever super telephoto lens in future.

  21.
"Free Shipping to Canada
For most in-stock items
on orders over $99 USD*."

Their emphasis is on "most" and you really should be chatting live during normal business hours with B & H for an answer.

  22.
Thank you Ian for your detailed response.
