  1. that's why I love you all, man! (but you still can't have my Yuengling Light...)

    :-)

BTW, the Mother Superior was just a moment. Here's what happened half a second later, when she went in for the smooch.<div>00R6kc-77055584.jpg.3827b7e94cf8f9548b8fabb059557eb4.jpg</div>

  2. Nick: Yeah, I noticed the branch similarities after posting (maybe shoulda not posted them together?). I was mixed on whether or not to crop out either, but decided the foreground added interest.

There were lots of webs when we woke up on a misty Sunday AM... I'll try some creative cropping when I get home.

    Thanks for comments all!

  3. We went on our first camping trip last weekend, in Western Maryland, where the colors are just starting to come

alive. We had glorious weather (although 42 degrees at night was tough on my wife), my youngest caught his first

fish, and the s'mores were way yummy.

Really enjoying my new Tamron 28-75 2.8, and I have big bro mis to thank for the tip, and Dad for playing

    Santa-in September!<div>00R66n-76737684.thumb.jpg.74535bfcbfd6c7161417e0b33987e51b.jpg</div>

  4. If only my failures looked as good as O Shiva's. "Sewage" is cool, but from your vantage point... can I say "Ewwwwwwwwwwww!"

Todd, maybe I was in the woods too long, but I think "fountain" is AWESOME! Me gotta get out & play at night.

  5. Wow! Ain't fall great? Peter, love that shot of the stream, and Bob: How I would've loved to catch something of decent size...

Here's one from our very first family camping trip. I think I got some keepers (photos, not fish), so I'll share more in a later thread.<div>00R4iT-76241584.jpg.2d27fb6f351a52e4c55f98a9bb9e5803.jpg</div>

  6. B&H has the Slik 700 DX with $10 off ($120 before shipping), and they include a (cheap but serviceable) bag... I took

    advantage last week.

I can't imagine wanting more than that 'pod, since weight is not a concern for you.

  7. ... there's that "layers" word again... I keep thinking we're baking a cake.

Is FM a plugin? Can it plug in to PSE?

Seems that - along with Nik Noise reduction (or whatever Justin likes) - my software budget needs a boost...

  8. Gaaaah. I love them all. I thought the first one was either the top of a bowed instrument (cello?), or the arm of a rocking chair! I was going wood, when it's metal!

I have to say the extension ladder is my close fave over the watering can.

    What amazing textures.

  9. Gosh, I feel like I got to shake hands with Obama, except it was O Shiva! WOW!

But you're right... not sure I like it better either. Maybe I'll try to spend some time with it, now that you did.

"Modern symbols" looks like the X-Men are in town...

  10. Oh yeah, got my edu-macation on zins while there in '96. Even went to a barbecue there one night.

I too am a fan of the single-vineyard varietals, though by nature they vary so much, and I get a nasty look from The Comptroller when I spend that much per bottle.

No longer a fan of the 'blend (getting snobby in my old age???), but we served 2.5 cases at our wedding 10 years ago!
