5.
I use IE as my regular browser and also have Safari. When I do the test you suggested using your image, there is a significant shift toward red in IE, but in Safari it looks very much the same as in Photoshop CC. The same thing happens with some of my own images.

I can't explain the red shift. (Maybe something to do with the expansion of the universe? ;<) )

 6.
I have an NEC PA241W display. The horizontal resolution is 1,920 pixels (like yours), but my screen measures about 20.5 inches wide. 1,920 / 20.5 = ~93.6585 pixels per inch, so in Photoshop CC2015 my screen resolution is set to 94.

When I view your image in Photoshop at "Print Resolution," it measures about 12 3/16 inches wide by 9 3/16 high on the screen—very close to what you say it's supposed to be.

By the way, while this is an interesting problem, does it really matter for your client, who intends to print the image in a book (on paper I presume)? If the pixel dimensions are right, and it seems yours are, why would the client care what size (or shape) the image appears on your screen?

 7. A couple of times a year KEH sends people to our local camera store in the Detroit area to buy stuff. If you then buy some new gear from the store, they'll give an extra 10% over whatever KEH paid for the old gear.
 8.
Rick, thanks for the repair tip. I tried removing the bottom plate and frowning severely at the parts inside, but that didn't help. I'll have a go at your method.

 9.
Thank you, Rick. Interesting post and beautiful pictures as always.

The Penta J was my first 35m camera, bought new back in 1962. I sold it a few years later to fund the purchase of a 4x5 so I could be like Ansel (which it turned out I couldn't) and later wished I'd kept it. I now have two of them, one good as new and the other with a stuck-in rewind button, which doesn't prevent its functioning. Here's a picture from last fall.

 10.
KEH is currently listing a Calumet CC401 camera (22-inch bellows): https://www.keh.com/254324/calumet-4x5-cc401-gray-with-22-bellows-view-camera-body

 16.
I'm kind of excited. Just ordered a Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM A (Art) lens from KEH in LN- condition. With their 15% off on film gear special this weekend, it was significantly less expensive than a new one.

They still have one left if anyone's interested. The discount code is FILM15. (The one they have includes a case. Mine was caseless and a little cheaper.)

 17.
Great story, Helen! Thanks!
