Great start for the week, love the seated man and the dog portrait. Sorry I really don't have anything to contribute. Lots of birthday photos of my wife, but she has a no-posting gag order on me.
  2. I have the lens and if you can ever find it, the supercool looking lens hood, really looks sharp. I hadn't been using it a lot since leaving film until I got the K1 and now I'm back to loving the lens again.
  3.
Gordon, Really like your image too.

Tim, I just got the same camera for underwater snorkeling. Nice to see it has a lot of other interesting properties. Nice image!

  4.
I had one of those special days yesterday, 9 owls of two different species, one a lifer for me. Cap that off with a Painted Turtle (Indiana in February?) and it was a great day to enjoy a bit of the natural world.

Long Eared Owl, NW Indiana.
Hi All.

Only have test images today. I finally received my 1.4X DW Pentax teleconvertor and I wanted to see how it did on the Pentax 150-450. It wasn't great conditions, light snow, low light, moving subjects so I was shooting at ISO 6400 on the K3, but I have to say that the pair worked well regardless.

Cardinal 1.4XTC +150-450 ISO 6400

  16.
A friend of mine is in need of of smallish muslins for a back drop for plates she displays Specifically she is looking for the above sizes 20X40 and 40X40 (I'm going to assume she means those lengths in inches) and she more specifically is asking for graduated colors from deep grey to white.

Anyone know of a source? All I can find are full sized ones for portraits.

Thanks

  17.
Speaking to the "made in Vietnam" issue, I have a couple of such lenses and they seem to be very well constructed to me. They followed specs laid down by Pentax (now Richo) Corp and I can say I have not had a manufacture's issue with any Pentax lens. I have had Sigmas (plural) fall apart on me, a Tamron do likewise, but nothing with Pentax stamped on it.

Hin,

First many thanks for your praise. Coming from you, that means a lot to me.
I actually did it through Darkroom and I am pretty happy although the file size was smaller than I expected (1250 on the long side). Still they did a really good job.
As I stated though, sadly it will be my last 120. When I got the K1 the one thing I promised my wife is that I would start to thin out some of my camera gear. Saving up for a college fund for my little one means making some sacrifices, and this is one place that seems logical. I just don't use the 67 much anymore and I'm not a camera collector, just a user (or abuser). I still have my LX and there is a K1000 around the house so film isn't completely dead in the house.
To answer your question regarding film, I honestly don't recall what film I was using! I just boxed it up and sent it off. I was surprised I still had film in the camera.

Doug
