photographing cranes at the bosque, my problem typically has been too many birds in
the picture. with photoshop techniques i removed the extraneous birds to focus on a
key few. i'm always curious if my composites are convincingly seamless.

richly textured and detailed, with wonderful colors flowing downward like a stream . evocative of both age and tranquility.

amazing detail and tactile sensibility. he seems to look right through me. great pic!

why i do believe that central figure is a fetal mermaid. nice pic!
-
very well done, things flow beautifully!

just love that bird! the pic features great focus and nice composition, plus it captures the bird looking so clever!
-
great work as always, a true photo-seccessionist!

forest birds from central africa. comments appreciated, thanks

gorgeous image, though i agree with dan that some more articulation of the trees, particularly on the right would likely help.
-
handsome feller, well taken. i like the groucho marx eyebrow.

wow- this is a gem. drama and beauty. nice crop and background too. bravo.

very nice-- there is a suggestion of motion in the diagonal surge that is powerful. it's a nice tribute to crimson-- like you've cracked it loose from glowing ruby.
-
intriguing and alluring: the natural path and the sleety blur work well; i might experiment with moving the dark shape (is it a galloping goat with a headdress?) slightly more off center.
-
nice card! i wonder if he has any idea how flamboyant he is?
-
great composition-- the bird just sings against this background
and a fine deployment of branches.
-
pretty sweet shot-- i take a lot of similar shots around here in the fall (SW colorado where similarly a hail storm drove down green aspen leaves along with yellow) but i'd consider this one exceptional. i might just slightly brighten the foreground but that's optional.

it's a nice pic with your field rows running alluringly toward the focal point. it has both highlights in the clouds and plenty of deep tones, so with my copy i simply lightened the midtones by pulling "curves" upward a bit in the middle which brightened it up considerably. cheers

great example of effective use of rather heavy texture. given the botanical complexity, it swirls ever so nicely around the heart, with the fish and dragonfly gently pressing inward. very well done.

gorgeous bird in great posture. be careful of dark shadows around the outline of the bird. select the bird, feather the selection and lightly airbrush those. i like the goya-like effect of elongating the flamingo's legs.
