Starvy,

Part of this could well be because our lives are increasingly governed by the need to generate income, make a name for ourself rather than just seek pleasure or pure unadulterated photographic experimentation.

Very well said and I fully agree with you on this.

Now, with Photoshop seems everyone is a 'great' photographer :)

Hi.

Good luck and I am afraid that you'll be hooked for ever :)

How you find lomography? And do you pursue that?
For me it seems great for fine art photography.

Hi, I want to print my visiting cards for photography. Can anyone suggests some samples.

Also please let me know is "Photographer/Artist" a right title because when one does something in Photoshop it falls into the artist categroy.

Thank you in anticipation.

Regards,

- Started with film.

- Digital revolution was in process, so jumped in the boat.

- After long, shot with film. Scanned the negatives. And loved them!

- Film is so natural and Digital is so flat and boring.

- Thinking to revert back to film and be happy with the scans.

Well he cheated too. But you can distinguish darkroom versus Photoshop manipulation. There is a way difference and lots of options in the later.

I think Photoshop is really devastating for photography. Now anyone can take an ordinary photograph and make it extraordinary by using that tool.

Thanks Cristian. I will look into the width issue. And have already put the music on mute on loading.

-

Jennifer, that's settled now. You checked that before I intimated about the update. So nice of you!

Zach, thanks for your comments and suggestions. For music I can put on mute on start but would like to keep that. Its very powerful.

Indraneel, Thanks. Have to do something about text being cut. May be the overall width of the menu is too wide. I saw your photographs and they are really nice. Especially the one having a boy/man running in front of fort; its very powerful photograph.

All, thank you again, really appreciate your time and interest.

Thank you all. I have managed to host my website. Its Flash-based. Would be glad to know your views on that:

Dear Jennifer,

First of all thanks a lot for detailed comments/ideas on my website; really appreciated.

Regarding repetition you are right, its diminishing the impact.

You are right regarding "Contact" and "Projects", will merge them.

Will re-phrase the sentence too.

I know I have used Frames, that is old technique now and carries limitation, but I had time constraint. But I have started working on the contemporary design now :)

By the way I tested my website (on Frames) on mobile phone browser (Nokia X6) and its working fine, but still, I would re-vamp my website using Flash.

And again on English, and its way of usage in different countries/regions.

Thanks for liking my images. Couple of days back I visited couple of historical places and got great opportunity to capture only but long lost history :)

I visited your website and you have taken great photographs on variety of areas.

Regards,

Thanks Charles; you are right. Will do that.

Thank you Charles :)

a space: Couple of art galleries exhibit work

some pictures: Yes (but not based on any theme/idea)

some people: That won't be a problem

Do you have any of those?

A space can be a gallery or a coffee shop or...?

Do you have photos printed and mounted and framed, the number depends on the space: Not now, but will certainly get them mounted.

Do you have any ideas of how to get people to visit your space, publicity, facebook, postcards, etc?: Yes, from the art gallery side and my personal marketing also.

But I think it is more than the questions above.

Hello,
I am not a great or professional photographer, I just want to express myself by holding a photography exhibition.
I have decided to do that in the genre of photography as an art.
Anyone gone through this? What it takes to hold exhibition i.e. from conception to finish.
Thanking you in anticipation,
Regards,
Riz

I do to satisfy the artist inside me. To find relaxation and to do something that keeps the mind active.

-

Had this in my mind for quite long.

By which you are more connected to and refer frequently for flashback. Video or photograph?

My personal experience in that I hardly refer to video after seeing for once or may be twice. But feel some 'feelings' when I touch the photograph. In past years I have gone back to old albums many times but didn't feel that much urge to watch the videos.

What do you say?

-

Hello Jennifer,

First of all good luck for your exhibition. I am also intending to do myself in next year. By the way what is the theme/subject of your exhibition?

Jennifer my aunt who lives in Little Rock, Arkansas is in photo framing business for long. If you are interested then I can give you her contact. I am sure you will like her designs, and, she will give you good rates.

Take care and regards,

Hello,

I have just bought Olympus Trip 35 in excellent working condition. To me it seems that light meter is working fine as the red indication does appear if there is less light.

I want to make sure that automatic aperture is working. How would I know that different aperture values are automatically set based on the light condition.

Looking forward,

Regards,

Hello,

I use Photoshop for editing for sort of professional work. I want to know would there be any benefit if I use Lightroom? Is is feasible to use Lightroom if anyone is already using Photoshop? What edge one gets using Lightroom instead Photoshop?

Looking forward,

Regards,
