Zsolt, great composition with the curving line of the mountains linking up well with the foreground. Lovely Autumn colours as well. Spot on.
Dave.

Just superb, the contrasts between the monotoned sky and mountains against the vibrant Autumn colours of the trees really complement each other.

Brian,
you definitely deserve the photo of the week, i personally think you have much stronger shots than this one, not only in the rest of your PF but also in the Santorini folder, but of course you don't get to choose, so congratulations and best wishes. Also congratulations on your book, i will be having a look at that when i get the chance.Dave.

Fantastic location, wonderful composition and great timing to capture such colours and ambience. I think the square format works perfectly also. Beautiful shot.

Fantastic, the rays of light through the mist are simply stunning.

David, stunning composition and flawless exposures/blending. I think you should have called this 'Oscars cliff' or something like that, due to your mates resemblance to the little statues handed out at the film/movie awards. That sky is just truly amazing and i hope to see it in print.
Best wishes, Dave.

Another cracking shot Dan. Quite unusual composition, but it really seems to make the most of all those different textures in the scene.
Regards, Dave.

Fantastically crisp with beautiful lighting Brian. I know there's a lot of similar shots of Santorini but i think this must be just about perfect.
Best wishes, Dave

Hi Sandris, The composition really looks as though it shouldnt work with the boulders taking up so much space, but i think it does, the lighting on the side of the rock is the icing on the cake.
Best wishes, Dave.

Hi mark,
I agree with a lot of what you say, i do think though that there are a lot of new photographers starting out who are unable to see the technical problems faced when producing this kind of photo. Also it only takes one or two idiots to rate 3/3 or 3/4 and the masses don't get to see your work, which means your subscription payment is wasted if you value others comments.
Best wishes Mark, Dave.

Mark, a stunning scene and an excellently controlled exposure. Makes me want to be there. This is much lower rated than it should be, it really does make me wonder whether my upcoming subscription to pnet is really worth it.
All the best, Dave

Beautiful location and i like your choice of composition. I bet the water thunders over the falls after some heavy rain. It reminds me a bit of How Stean Gorge here in Yorkshire.
Best Wishes, Dave.

I really like the composition Jane with the sharp ridge leading to the mountains in the distance and the mono conversion is very good tonally but i can't help thinking that your focussing is off here. The background looks as it should, but the foreground is soft and lacking definition from focussing too far into the scene.
I hope this will be taken as a constructive comment as the atmosphere and sense of place is excellent and i do like this photo.
best wishes, Dave.

Fantastic image. I love the contrast between the jade sea and the green hills which are perfectly framed by the low lying mist. An excellent moment in time.
Best wishes,Dave.

Superb, i have been looking to create something similar to this on my recent trips, but have not found this kind of complimentary arrangement. Congratulations and well done on a great image.

Great exposure and some nice motion in the angry sky. I like the way the road flows through the composition tying everything together.
Best wishes, Dave.

I think your critique of your image is a bit harsh. Its a good composition to my eyes with the line of stones leading into the frame and just enough interest with the tree in the middle ground and finally the fiery clouds in the sky. Nice exposure and sharpness throughout as well.
All the best, Dave.

Simply excellent. The rough textures of the large boulders and all those lines in the rock platform make for a superb foreground, bursting with interest. And One of those times being in just the right place at the right time when it all comes together.
Best wishes, Dave.

I saw the other photos from this series Rob and thought they were good, but this angle, looking down the falls and also the general composition with the river flowing out of the bottom left corner seems unusual, but very effective, and it grabbed my attention immediately.
Best wishes, Dave.

Excellent, great lighting, composition mood and atmosphere. I like the vignetting in the bottom corners as well. Spot on.
