I could not disagree more with Corey Rankin? As a photographer Never rely on photo shop post processing, Always Strive to technically get the shot wright first time. that will make you a great photographer, then post process. And Corey says go for a tighter crop? You wouldn't have to if you fill the frame like I have suggested earlier and the space is meaningless. The picture pretty much tells me that you were trying to get a shot of these ducks and as you got close to there safe zone they fled on you, To bad Corey doesn't have any work to show for an example? If you decide to crop there will be a down fall side, It is called noise, I bet if you go back to were you took this shot and throw these ducks a piece of bread they would turn around for you and want more, So be ready and get down on the ground and shoot away. I bet you would get some cool shots. Remember If you learn only one thing from me then learn to achieve great technical photo skills. Then learn photo shop or photo art last. Talk to you later GH.

Good DOF, But you should of used a reflector to fill in the shadows in the adjoining cheek line areas? When You become a professional photographer you will learn I guess.
  1. Very nice! Superb if that, How about that 50D ? I herd the ISO gets quite noisy in the 2300 range or higher? All around is still a superb camera by Canon, I can't decide what to get the 50, or the 5D MX11, would like to fool around with the movie option? I can definitely tell in the detail and contrast you used the 50D, well done !

Hello and welcome aboard. First of all always fill your frame with your subject, And always obtain perfect focus and when shooting smaller subjects or any at that manner get down to there eye level. Lighting is a must also, Check out my waterfowl shots and gets some ideas. feel free to ask me a question on any of my shots I am studying to be a professional photographer and have shot for more than 20 years, would be glad to help.G Holman.

Looks pretty professional to me, The colors of the DOF match your subject, not to many photographers under stand that much any more. Well done! I will rate this what You deserve, 7/7 ! Lets see moe1 And yes welcome to p.n.
