    London

          2

The bridge on the left, is Blackfriars Road bridge, and that on the right is Blackfriars Railway bridge, with the old bridge stanchions still visible. I have driven trains over the railway bridge, but not recently!...It's an intersting view.

I'm unsure whether your horizon is actually horizontal, it could be me, but the opposite bank looks to be sloping down to the right....or!...this could be the foremost three stanchions sloping due to a wide angle view...?

    I hope you enjoyed London!

Thanks for posting this - it's brought back some memories for me!

  1. You've beaten me to this...!

I like the sepia - it works quite well, and, knowing the location, I think that the pic is pretty good.

One idea I had, (I'll let you into my secret!), is that when there's no wind, particularly early morning - say 4am, the light's reflection on a very still Lagoon are much more special!

Nice to see that you manage to go west from your area on occasions!!

    Take care,

  2. It's a striking image, and the texture of the face is great...but I'm put off by the out of focus left side.....I know that's not what you wanted to read, but it's very distracting to me....

I bet I'm the only one who writes this - so disregard my comments!!

    mmm.....lend me your lens!!

It's a cool shot, such clarity, and crisp too...

I think you've either been very lucky with your first shot at this, or you've spent some time at games......

Keep posting these - thy're cool to a UK fan!!

  3. PS Elements 5 adjustments of an image I shot yesterday, in

    Littlehampton, Sussex, UK.

The whole image, in original colour had too much distraction, so I

isolated the salient points by removing all of the extraneous colour, to

concentrate the eye on the zone which the man is sitting. If I removed

the rusty pipe, the whole dynamic changes, and the image appeares

    unbalanced....

Please feel free to comment on this, or edit, and repost if you think

    improvements can be made...

    Thanks
