  1. I would maybe like to see a little more detail in the house or farm in front of the trees, but it's a lovely photo. I wonder, did you take this recently in eastern pa, because that's where I'm located and we've had some beautiful weather for photography these last few days...gorgeous clouds and skies and whatnot.

Thanks in advance for your comments. I have mixed feelings about how

bright the spots are on his wings, they look overexposed but they WERE

very bright - it's what caught my eye and let me to find him...

thanks for any insights/opinions...A breeze and the background (with decent bokah) was a

happy accident that made a swirly effect. I was wondering if the lower third should be

cropped out more? It didn't seem to look right when I did. is the bee too small?

Thank you so much for your comments and advice. I checked out the one link to the article on insects, that's good stuff and headed straight for the printer!

Any advice on how I could have made this a better image appreciated. I feel it's good, but

missing something...don't know how I could have gotten it any sharper, it was very windy

and this fella didn't stay in the same place for more than 5 seconds...

A bright fire at night is usually compelling, and the trailers (sparks at long exposure?) are very interesting. Have you considered a slightly different crop on this - wondering about the right-hand side of the frame.

Really nice, what a great job you did with focus. The color is nice, too. Do you do any photoshop manipulation? the only thing I would change would be to maybe bump up the green in the background a tad bit, I think it would make the whole image a little brighter. but very nice, wish I could get macro shots like this!
