I would maybe like to see a little more detail in the house or farm in front of the trees, but it's a lovely photo. I wonder, did you take this recently in eastern pa, because that's where I'm located and we've had some beautiful weather for photography these last few days...gorgeous clouds and skies and whatnot.

Thanks in advance for any insights into how I could have improved this photo (when shooting
or processing)

Nice shot, great detail. The wings are incredible. I've been trying some dragonfly shots myself, and they're not easy.

Thanks in advance for your comments. I have mixed feelings about how
bright the spots are on his wings, they look overexposed but they WERE
very bright - it's what caught my eye and let me to find him...

thanks for any insights/opinions...A breeze and the background (with decent bokah) was a
happy accident that made a swirly effect. I was wondering if the lower third should be
cropped out more? It didn't seem to look right when I did. is the bee too small?

Any advice on how I could have made this a better image appreciated. I feel it's good, but
missing something...don't know how I could have gotten it any sharper, it was very windy
and this fella didn't stay in the same place for more than 5 seconds...

Experimenting is good. that's really neat looking. You did mean "low" or slower shutter speed, right?
-
I have NO idea what that is, but it looks awesome! Nice work all the way around.

Really nice, what a great job you did with focus. The color is nice, too. Do you do any photoshop manipulation? the only thing I would change would be to maybe bump up the green in the background a tad bit, I think it would make the whole image a little brighter. but very nice, wish I could get macro shots like this!

Thanks for your comments. (For some reason, the JPEG after I upload it
looks noisy although it looks fine on my screen).

Thanks for looking

Nice shot. At first this has an almost sinister quality to it, otherworldly. Great textures, colors.

Trying "abstract" for the first time...I have a lot to learn!
