I thought this little fella looked pretty neat...Thanks for looking.

Thanks to all of you for the nice comments and Richard, for the advice...I'll play around with this one a bit. I liked it because I'm his dad, of course, but I just didn't know about its merits as a photograph apart from that. Might have to consider a print of this one...thanks again!

I can't add much more to what others have said - awesome!
But why on earth did somebody give this a 3/3? WTF?! I saw a post somebody made in one of the forums about totally unreasonable 3/3 ratings eventually leading to the ruination of this site's excellent critique feature. Starting to wonder about that myself...especially when you see a great photo like this getting dissed.

wow, nice capture! I'll bet it took some work to get this shot - he's frozen nearly perfectly, sharp, and nice DOF.

I'd possibly look at your composition, you've got a lot of space to the right that's not adding much to the image. Can you crop in a little closer to bring up the subject of the photo, which is the bee? Also, I might consider shooting this at at least f9 and maybe a faster shutter speed, to get the bee sharper. Finally, if you've got some good processing software such as photoshop or lightroom, you can recover some of the overexposed areas of the sunflower (not all - that one petal is totally blown out).

Very nice photo, great color, composition, and exposure. I don't think anything woulud make it any better!

If only his wing was a bit lower to see his face. Anything redeemable about this photo
keeping in mind that issue? TIA for your comments.

My son loves to be a daredevil when dad has the camera out. It's hard
not to encourage him. TIA for looking...

Pretty good detail on both the fungus and the tree, and the background is good. I might crop it a little tighter to lose a little off the bottom, is all. MHO.
