I remember this tree and have photographed it. It's a great subject. I like the mood in this image. The color in the clouds is a little funny (too much green?) Great cumulus behind the little tree though.

I think the interest is in the gully patterns. I think this works really well and would make for a fascinating large print (i hope it's large format ;-).

Steve, this is lovely. I really like the colors here, though I think your Epson scan probably isn't doing the chrome justice. I'd have to say the top leaves are a bit hot and that's hurting the image as presented.

Understood. Seems as though smaller formats benefit more, imho, from polarizer use than larger, so I often don't use one myself. Good point about the possibility of loosing the leaves into the background, I didn't think of that.

Thanks for the comment on my image, too. (No polarizer on that one :-) )
