1. When I turn the camera on, the illuminated elements below the viewfinder are not in focus (with suitable diopter adjustment)? That's the problem.
 2. Just got a Nikon D600 as a backup. sent it in to Nikon for the shutter fix. Came back and the Viewfinder is out of focus. Nothing fixes it. The diopter does nothing. Help? Or should i wuss out and call Nikon in the morning?
 3. Just got a used one from a friend for $1100, low actuations. It needed the recall so I sent it in to Nikon. Can't wait for it to return so I can get going with it.
 4. Nikon for stills and Panasonic for video, says me.
 5. A we all know, when you turn on the M7 the first thing you see is the ISO of you film setting. I always set my ISO manually so I can push or pull according to light conditions. Then when I turned on the meter I would see 200 or 800 ISO. Now it only shows the ISO of the film canister (400) no matter where I place the wheel on the back of the body. How did that happen? How do I "turn off" the DX reader? It is not set to DX.
 6.
I like the size (a personal thing?) The GX8 is my move from Nikon DSLR's and film Leica's. It is a sweet spot for me. Also I am very pleased with the small size of the primes.

 7.
He missed the fine Leica 15 mm f1.7. But still a nice read.

 10.
Eliot You mention M4-P. Aren't we talking about M4-2's in this thread?

 11.
well a shout out for Youxin Ye does great work, he is fast(at least for me). Also many of you remember Pete Smith, the Nikonsmith OBM. He was a gem. He had over 300 Nikon F's in his parts area. I know I once counted them.

 12.
DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THE CHROME VERSION BUT THESE ARE GREAT STARTERS:

 13.
A beauty for sure. Yes Ilford XP-2 will be in the mix.

 14.
Made in '63, bought used in '74, Major prism dent in '82, new Griptac covering in 2005, CLA and shutter mod in 2008.

Thinking of living with only my F for a year with the help of my 3 Nikon lenses: 28/2, 50/1.4, and 105/2.5. Am I crazy? Oh and a whole bunch of Tri-X.

 15.
My Nikon F was built

 16.
I have both. When I considered getting the FM3A, I thought I would sell off my FM2N. But Why? For an extra $150 in my pocket? So I kept both.

 17.
I love my Nikon's warts and all. I would love to play with Canon's but if I went down the Canon rabbit hole, what would I do with my Nikkor 105/2.5 AiS that works so so beautifully on all my Nikon's digital and film?

 18.
Wow 6 good shots out of 2000. I only wish.

 19.
Just picked up another Pentax MX at a yard sale with a SMC M 50/1.7 lens. Cosmetically both are like new condition. Lens performs beautifully and is in excellent shape. The body on the other hand has problems. Meter does not work at all, but the worst problem is that it will not focus. It just always stays fuzzy even when the the split image is lined up. It almost appears to be a diopter problem. Any ideas? Is this fixable?

 20.

 21.
I am not a flash shooter, thanks.

 22.
I just decided I must have a Pentax MX camera. Any users out there? Problems I should look for? I limit my GAS nowadays to classic film cameras.

 23.
Both are excellent. As one poster said, the K is heavier, but only by 30 grams.
