The line provides good definition/separation so we get 3 sections - foreboding sky, ship, foreground. Lacks a bit of definition/contrast in this v small version.

You've followed the 'rules' - a nice V line, on the thirds, a red highlight grabbing the eye, led to by a water line. Water's nice and calm, sky nothing special, boats a little appealing, greens a little flat.

Almost as if she's being struck by lightning - "in the departure lounge". The pastel colours give it a soft worn out appearance, which mirrors the subject.

What a sky! Good composition to emphasise the main feature but the colours are a bit flat - lacks punch = adjusting the shows detail and contrast in PS could make it stand out more.

The desaturation of the dress and its clarity of pink against the greyness stands out - good definition in the girl. I am unsure as to whether the end of alley would look better darker - and what is that distracting twig line on the top RHS?

That sky makes the photo almost surreal - and the central horizon with centralised cow plays along. If anything the sky is too strong so that it drags the eye up way from the cow. It actually feels a strain to keep looking at the cow. A thought provoking photo.

The lighting and definition in the pears seems very crisp when contrasted to the banded/print effect of the remainder - a bit like old & modern. A tre of pears - not quite poker.

She's well positioned in shade though that burnt out white behind spoils the effect, also being straight on in a loose dress enhances broadness. That yellow line in the tree is also a distraction.

There is a good use of diagonals to add tension here, There are two foreground focal points, the boat leads to the distant focal produced by the arrow in the clouds. The man is however too dark and so struggles to gain attention.

I like the use of strong cloud space above that gives this photo mood and makes the crispness of the warm interior stand out (though that orange is a bit day-glo) . Good definition in the bricks.

Beautiful sky and nice silhouetting. The almost central composition says neither one thing or the other. Look for foreground, middleground, background. Would be nice to see when there are some expressive clouds.

For dynamic, think angle, yes. For product think whites not greys. What story can a single shoe tell? That story is what you want - and plenty of space for text.
