    Dear Anne and Runar,

the mood here is fantastic, as with all of your photographs.

Just one small nibble- for my taste, there could be more space between the lower part of the reflection and the lower image border.

But overall still a great image!

    Warm regards, Stanislav

Anne & Runar- thanks! Always good to hear from you!

Volker, Grigoriy, Leo, Trisha- thank you for your kind words!

Roger- its always a joy to read your comments and analysis. I saw and commented on some of Drors images. Funny that he and you posted something new almost simultaneously.

Dror- interesting that you call it Japanese. Well, I guess the simplicity and perfection that I'm aiming at often (and never quite reaching it) does have something very Japanese to it. And of course blooming cherry trees are very Japanese, although I'm not quite sure about daisies...:-)

Warm regards to all of you!

    Dror,

the interpretation of the dark left corner as something solid, an 'anchor' in some way, did not occur to me. Now that you said that, it seems very natural.

Just one image, and so many different concepts and interpretations... I was really missing this discussions with you!

    Dror,

I too enjoy playing around with 'spirits'.

How about a more metaphysical interpretation? An echo of Plato's world of forms? A glimpse of something beyond the physical world? But memory also is a very interesting concept.

Bochum wasn't able to stay in the Bundesliga, and not doing too well in the second liga now. Luckily I'm not a fan...

Anyway, good to have you back!

    Warm regards,

So warm and sunny. Somehow brings a big smile to my face...

And then there is this dark center that adds enough depth to spend more time viewing it. Also very interesting distribution of sharpness towards the center.

Quite subtle image, I like it a lot!

    Warm regards, Stanislav

  1. Roger,

this is another amazing image of yours. I have nothing to add to Drors description, he hit the nail on the head.

I see that you used your break to gather some amazing ideas and put them to life. Really hope the series will continue!

    Warm regards, Stanislav

    Roger,

one word- stunning. So mystic... Could be the birth of a new galaxy, or a black hole sucking in everything around it. No nitpicking from me today, just can't find anything to critique.

It is so great to see images from you again! Hope this will be the beginning of a fantastic series by the master of roses. The first two images you recently uploaded certainly qualify for that.

    Warm regards, Stanislav
