Beautiful Hannah, both in terms of composition and aesthetics. Makes me think of the early works of the Bauhaus school. What are the thinks-sphinxs?
  1. Exactly Don, you're right. Even though not conspicuous in the first place, this disymetry in the blinds brings more interest to the picture and enriches it with light, reflections, varied tones, excellent, really.

Don, Man ray also did a lot of beautiful portraits in his Hollywood years, which were more traditional, with his great personal use of light and shadows, beautiful. Actually, I'm not a great expert and I know the works of very few great photographers but there are pictures or paintings I could watch for hours, and what you achieved here is beautiful! Don, thanks again for your always very nice, humourous and creative commments!

  2. Of course, especially after the endless winter we've had this year. Beautiful, there are a lot of yellow flowers too around my place at the beginning of spring, colza in French. Cheers, Laurent.

This one is very special. The framing and DOF give us the impression that the model is going out of the frame, I like it very much. Cheers, Laurent.

    Hi Andrew,

you seem to have found your way in fashion photography. You make us feel your interest in your models and your love of aesthetics and beauty in a very human, approachable but also very classy way. Beautiful. Your technical abilities are also very impressive now, perfect control of light, tones and DOF. Cheers, Laurent.

  3. Hello Don,

I like this one very very much, a great photo to me. The way you tilted that frame, the warm light, reflections, shapes and textures, truly amazing! You know, I exchanged a few impressions about Man Ray with jack a few weeks ago, and I said I was a big admirer of the way he would create light motives using the reflection of light on objects in some of his films or photos. Here you have created a beautiful atmosphere, which evokes some modern Man Ray mood to me! ( I hope you don't mind my telling you so), I really like that picture of yours!

Hello Don, I like this photograph very much! Magnificent curves, framing, light and colours. Your approach from abstract detail to come to a figurative Saturn is beautiful. (hope that makes sense, I'm not quite sure about my English here!) Bravo! Laurent.

This is beautiful, Patricia. I have just discovered your portfolio and all I can say is that I wish I had your skills and knowledge in photography and editing! By the way, thank you very much for the kind comment and good technical advice!

What you achieve is outstanding, the tones in this picture are really fascinating. The brightness of the whites and greys on the trailor and this gorgeous shiny sky, wow! I like the composition very much too, a very American subject for a Frenchman! We don't have wooden made trailors like these in France! Very classy! Best Regards and thank you very much again, Laurent.

I like this portrait very much. It is very interesting to see Belle in her environment. I like the square format as well as all the details, bottles and plates and all the objects that surround her. This is really full of life. The lack of eye contact makes the picture even more spontaneous and natural, real and unaffected. I like your treatment of colours very much too even though my personal taste would lead me to warmer tones. Patricia, thank you very very much again for your kind comment and technical advice.

Outstanding! Wonderful picture, both modern fashion looking and classic. Editing makes it look like a 17th or 18 th century oil painting. I love the details in the tree trunk and roots, and the haze and the landscape in the distance, magnificent! Light and composition are perfect. Cheers.

Hi Andrew! Great shot and stunning reflections. Nice geometry of your framing too. This would make a great poster! congrats. Andrew, thanks very much for the advice, I'll give it a try. I have a Colorvision device but I have the impression that it helps with colour temperature and hue more than with saturation. Anyway the Sony monitor is good! Andrew, I've just deleted my old account, and I have a new one under the name of Laurent Lacoste, It would be great pleasure for me if you gave me your opinion about my new portfolio! Sorry for the comments that I erased! You're doing some great professional work and I value your advice very much! Cheers, Laurent.
