Ex Canon user looking at Nikon alternative for Birding:

<p>Hi Jason,<br> I can understand what you say. Most of your notices, in my opinion, have to do with the sensor. This is a known issue for Canon. Sensor wise Canon can not compete Sony and Nikon sensors. DXO Labs after testing the 7D II concluded, once more, that sensor is not on par with the camera and other futures, i.e. AF system. It's camera's week spot.<br> If you are really want to concentrate in better sensors (with all the "goodies" that these sensors produce), then moving to Nikon (or Sony for that matter), might help. But I would suggest you try first the 7D II...(if this manageable).</p> -

Image and post processing are of a very high quality. Splendid coloring and mood! To be honest I thought the reeds were added through a different layer to the original photo. Somehow I get the impression that they are not realistically "alive" and are kind of a ghostly presence to the composition. I hope that I am clear enough and my message is understood Alf :) :) Also they engage with the reflections on the water and partly with the background scenery and according to my humble opinion the shapes are not that distinct between them. Perhaps this image will grow with me as time passes by...Take care my good friend! Cheers! -
<p>I am just wondering what the price will be. The D610 and the D600 are sold in very "attractive" prices currently and probably they will be "more attractive" in the days to come. Not to mention Ebay offers. Is there any room for a Nikon top-DX model? I am talking about money wise. <br /> Ι am a bit skeptic, someone mentioned the 7D II...is this camera selling well at this price? Of course if you have the 6D to consider with that primitive AF system then, who knows... But in the case of Nikon a camera at this price has very strong FX internal competition, not only D600 or D610 but even the new D750 if price is similar to 7D II. Just thinking out loud...</p>
